Sweater Weather (Tiny Pov)
(tw: swearing)
You're cold. One of your mini-giant roommates offer you a quick solution.
You’ve recently moved in with two mini-giants, brothers named Drew and Erik, and are now sharing a house built for people of their size, 19 feet tall. The price for rent was low, you knew you wouldn’t take up much space, and could help with cleaning, food prep, and anything else your size is advantageous for.
So far, it’s been a bit of a rocky integration. The two mean well, but clearly didn’t think everything through. Navigation around their house as a result is tricky at best and impossible at worst. Thankfully, they have been patient and quick to offer or provide solutions to the various problems you’ve encountered.
One problem didn’t have to be addressed until recently, however, that being the temperature.
The seasons are changing. It’s still warm out on some days, but the fall weather is slowly creeping in, and on some days it’s been mildly uncomfortable. Today, however, you’re completely shivering. You can’t reach the thermostat, and a space heater sized for you wouldn’t be effective in a mini-giant sized room.
Even worse, Erik is at work, and Drew hasn’t woken up yet, so you’re left to fend for yourself for the time being. You grab your blanket as you leave your room, hoping that Drew wakes up soon and you can get his attention.
They’ve started installing various ramps and platforms to help you get around more easily, but it’s been a work in progress, and the couch hasn’t been addressed yet. You wish you had sooner, because as you stare up at the gargantuan piece of furniture, you know you’re in for a bit of a struggle.
With a huff, you ball up your blanket and toss it up onto the cushions, watching it land up top with no issues. As for you, you’re in for a bit of a struggle.
You usually have one of the brothers help you up onto the couch, but Drew is still asleep, and you really don’t feel like climbing up the flight of mini-giant stairs to get to him. You’re on your own.
You start by reaching your arms up, trying to gauge how far you need to jump up before you can grab hold and hope. Thankfully, it’s not far, but it’s still going to be a considerable effort. You crouch down, hope for the best, and launch yourself upward. Your hands grab hold of the fabric of the cushions above you, and you begin to try and pull yourself up.
You’re glad Drew isn’t awake right at this moment to witness you kicking and flailing about as you scale up the couch, but you do manage to make it onto the cushion. You flop onto your back, panting with a small, victorious grin on your face. You’ve defeated gravity and scale this time.
Once you cool down a bit from the exercise, you start to shiver again, and you grab your blanket to wrap it around you as you nestle into the corner of the couch. All you can do now is wait and hope Drew wakes up soon. You won’t freeze, but you’re still going to be very uncomfortable until then.
Thankfully, it’s not long before you hear the telltale footsteps climbing down the stairs as Drew approaches. You suddenly find yourself in his shadow, looking up to see him leaning over the back of the couch with his arms crossed over it, staring down at you with a friendly, sleepy smile.
“Hey short stuff, glad to see you can climb the couch. Whatcha up to?” he asks casually.
You wrap your blanket tighter around yourself, looking up at him with pleading eyes.
“I-It’s cold, c-can you turn th-the heater on?”
Drew’s face falls as the realization hits him, flashing you an embarrassed, apologetic grin as he rubs the back of his neck.
“Of course! I’m sorry, we’re not used to having to worry about that ourselves. I’ll be right back.”
You watch him pull away from the couch and hurry off to turn the heat in their house up. You then hear him run up the stairs, back to his room? You aren’t sure, you haven’t bothered to check out what all is upstairs yet, since you haven’t needed to. You hear him climbing back down moments later, and you’re pretty sure he skipped a few steps on the way.
He finally returns, now stepping in front of the couch and watching you for a moment. You notice he’s now wearing an unzipped sweater, unsure as to why. It might be cold for you, but you know, and he’s just confirmed that he’s got a much higher tolerance for the cold. You don’t have time to think about it for long, however, as two massive arms reach down toward you.
You let out a surprised cry as he first pulls your blanket off of you, then gathers you up into his arms, flushing deeply at just how easy it was for him to do so. This isn’t the first time you’ve been picked up, they frequently have to do so to help you get around, but you can’t think of a reason as to why Drew is picking you up right now. As a result, you feel anxiety kicking in, glancing around anxiously as he takes a couple of steps with you.
He then sits down on the other side of the couch, bringing you in close to him and tucking you to his chest.
“What are you-“
“Shh, it’s okay, just hold on a second.”
You jump as you feel his voice rumbling in his chest. This is the first time you’ve ever been this close to either of the two mini-giants. They’ve always just picked you up, placed you down where you need to go, and that was that. This is clearly something else, you’re just not sure what. What you are sure of, however, is how warm Drew is.
You hold tight to him, trying to soak up as much warmth as you can before whatever happens next. It’s soon apparent, however, that you don’t have to worry about that. You watch as he reaches down, slides one half of the zipper into the other half, and slowly begins to zip up his sweater around you.
You gasp as his hand passes over you, light disappearing behind it as the sweater seals up over you, pressing you tight against his chest. There’s no worry anymore of slipping off of him at all, you’re far too secure for that to happen. You find yourself mostly shrouded in darkness as he finishes zipping up, having been left a small window near the top that you can peek out of if you wish.
You’re at a bit of a loss as you try to process what’s happening, definitely shy, but certainly not upset. You look around now that things have settled, there’s a bit of light shining in, but otherwise it’s total darkness beneath his sweater. You haven’t moved very much, your face a deep shade of red as you’re continuously held very closely against Drew.
You can feel his breathing, slow, smooth, and steady, and you curiously press your ear against his chest. You’d been curious about whether their heartbeats were slower than yours, and you’re quickly proven correct. It’s a slow, soothing sound that you realize will lull you to sleep very quickly if you keep listening, and you pull your head away.
“I hope this is okay, I figured I could keep you warm myself until the heater kicks in.”
It becomes obvious very quickly that it’s working, and you nod your head. Curled up against him like this, with his sweater making sure you stay put, his body heat is seeping into you quickly, and it’s not long before you’re no longer shivering. You adjust your position slightly, curling inward and snuggling in as you take in a deep breath, releasing it slowly. There had been a small, shy part of you that’d been hoping something like this could happen, and as you’re surrounded by warmth, darkness, and a strong feeling of security, you’re not surprised to discover that you really like this particular way of being held.
You jump just slightly as you feel gentle pressure against you from outside of his sweater, his arms reaching in to cradle you and offer more support. Now feeling even more secure, you nestle yourself against his chest before letting your body fall limp, any tension in your muscles gone as the warmth he offers travels into your body.
You look up at him just in time to catch him watching you with a warm smile, offering a shy smile back up at him before hiding your face against him.
“Are you comfortable in there?” he asks softly, beginning to run his hand over your curled up form to further relax you.
You shudder softly under the gentle touch, looking up and giving him another nod before looking away again. He chuckles softly, keeping his voice low and quiet as he speaks again.
“Can I tell you a secret?” he asks shyly.
“Y-Yeah…” you mumble.
“I uh, I’ve kinda been hoping that you’d be okay with this sort of thing. Cuddling, I mean. I’ve been wanting to hold you for a while, I hope that’s not like, really weird or demeaning or something like that…”
You feel your face becoming red again, but you push through it and shake your head, offering Drew a small smile. You’ve been secretly wanting this too, and you wriggle and shift to snuggle up against him. You lean your head against his chest, sighing deeply and closing your eyes.
“I like this,” you murmur, “I might fall asleep…”
Drew chuckles and gives you the softest couple of pats with his hand, shifting his hold on you in his arms to make himself more comfortable.
“Go ahead, I’ll still be here when you wake up.”
With Drew’s blessing, you yawn softly before adjusting your position one more time. You then press your ear against his chest again, listening to his slow, calming heartbeat and letting it lull you right to sleep.
—
You’re roused from your nap as you hear the door being unlocked and opened, sitting up and peeking out of Drew’s sweater to see Erik having returned home from his shift. Drew briefly lifts his arm to offer him a wave.
“Hey man, how was your shift?” he asks, and you lean in as his chest rumbles against you.
“Not too bad,” he remarks, setting his keys down and dropping his backpack carefully onto the floor. He then makes his way over to the couch, and you watch his expression grow curious as he notices the lump on Drew’s chest.
“What’s that under your sweater?” Erik asks, leaning in. You blush under his attention, offering a shy wave before ducking down a bit.
“Oh my god, that’s fucking adorable,” he gasps, pulling his phone out and taking a picture.
Drew chuckles, offering you a soothing touch as he slowly rubs his arm over you again.
“They got really cold, we need to keep the place warmer for them.”
“Right, yeah… sorry about that. One sec,” he says, rushing away and upstairs to his room.
You’re left mildly confused, looking up at Drew as he responds with his own confused expression. Erik charges down the stairs again moments later, his hoodie having been replaced with his own unzipped sweater, and he sits down on the couch opposite to Drew.
“Can I have a turn, if it’s okay with them?” Erik asks hopefully.
Drew looks down at you with a soft smile.
“Are you okay with Erik holding you?”
You nod your head. You’ve been enjoying this time with Drew, but knowing that Erik wants to hold you too, you feel yourself feeling warm and fuzzy inside. Both of these mini-giants want nothing more than to make sure you feel safe, comfortable, and apparently cozy as well.
You shudder as you feel a rush of cooler air, the place still taking time to warm up, as Drew unzips his sweater and exposes you. He then gently lifts you with both hands, pulling you away from him and reaching toward Erik. The other brother carefully takes you from Drew, smiling as he brings you over to his chest and holds you close.
You smile back, curling up in the same manner as you’d done with Drew. After making sure you’ll be steady for a moment, Erik reaches down and brings the zipper together, slowly zipping his sweater up over you and obscuring you from view. Once more, you watch as darkness envelopes you, pausing a bit from the top to give you that same window his brother left for you. You’re pressed snug against his chest, and you feel his warmth surrounding you.
“Like this, right?” he asks, his arms reaching in to wrap around you and keep you supported.
You look up and give him a nod, watching his face light up as he sees you making yourself at home. You snuggle yourself up, feeling as warm and safe as you did with Drew. You see him look back at Drew with adoration and disbelief, sighing deeply and pressing your ear to his chest to listen to his heartbeat. You can’t help but laugh to yourself at how much faster it is than Drew’s, a clear indication that he’s very excited about this.
“Apparently they’ve been wanting to do this for a while. Well, not this exactly, but just being held and cuddled and stuff, like we wanted to hold and cuddle them,” Drew revealed, his voice just slightly muffled to you from beneath Erik’s sweater.
Erik looks down at you, who’s blushing and hiding your face against his shirt. Before he came home, you weren’t sure if Erik had similar desires, but with Drew so openly revealing that to him, his use of the word ‘we,’ and Erik’s eagerness to get involved, you can only assume now that he does.
“Aww, it’s okay! There’s no need to be so shy,” Erik says, rubbing his hand over you as Drew had been earlier, and you slowly melt against him. “Now we all know, and that just means we can cuddle you more going forward, how does that sound?”
You nod your head, a smile on your face as this all sinks in.
“Really, it looks like all we need to do is leave the heater off…” Drew chuckles.
“That’s mean,” Erik replied, but you laugh quietly, catching his attention.
“He’s not wrong, this is really nice… you guys are so warm.”
You look up at Erik, and he looks back down at you, his concern for you quickly melting into adoration as you smile up at him. He gives you a gentle squeeze, chuckling quietly at your eagerness to rely on them to keep you warm.
“You know we would still cuddle you anyway, even if you’re already warm, right?”
“Mhm…” you mumble, quickly losing interest in continuing a conversation as Erik’s hold on you starts to lull you into an even deeper, sleepier state of calm.
You still feel quite tired from your nap being interrupted, and curl inward more, nuzzling your face into Erik’s shirt. You yawn as you snuggle in, feeling his warmth radiating through you and keeping you nice and cozy. It’s easy to imagine yourself falling into a doze again, being held and cradled so close.
“No way, you’re just gonna… fall asleep on me like this?” Erik asked, his voice laced with a gentle awe and bewilderment.
“They fell asleep with me earlier before you got back home. I think cuddling like this makes them sleepy.”
Erik looks down at you as though to confirm, and you nod your head. He blinks a few times before grinning.
“This is the best,” he starts with a soft whisper. “Go ahead and get as much sleep as you need. We’re not going anywhere,” he softly croons, his hand idly drifting up and down over the lump you form under his sweater.
You feel warm, happy, safe, and loved as you drift off to the sound of Erik’s voice, his breathing, and heartbeat as you’re held so close to him. This isn’t how you imagined today would go, but you’re not disappointed in the slightest. You now have not one, but two mini-giants willing to hold and cuddle you whenever you need or want it, and it looks like they’re going to enjoy it just as much as you do. This living arrangement just got a whole lot cozier.
