I hope it's not too crunchy looking. I had to condense the damn thing so Tumblr could take it (it was admittedly huge) There's not much commentary to this one. It took me way too long, that's for sure. I'm unhappy with the hand, but I let it go since I wanted to get this out the door before St. Nick arrived. What if... Yrliet was Yrliet Aezyrraesh, the Dracon of the Reaving Tempest and Marazhai was Marazhai Lanaevyss, the Asuryani Outcast

One thing being a Yrliet fan has brought to my attention is how many people don't think a romantic relationship is "real" unless sex is involved.

Sure, you've got your "hur dur, why won't she put out, I was nice to her, she must not really like me" reddit bros, but I've also seen people on here say things like "we need a poly option, especially for Yrliet because my RT would want sex too" (emphasis mine)

Wanting poly added to the game is one thing, but why is her romance less worthy of being exclusive because she won't have sex with you? Why is the assumption that she should be fine with the person she loves having other partners specifically because she doesn't want to be physically intimate with you?

And this isn't just little flings, these are full-blown relationships with deep emotional commitment, potential marriage offers, etc.

I don't think the people saying this are thinking about it this deeply, but the vibe I get from a lot of people is that they at least sub-consciously think of her relationship as "lesser" because there's not sex involve, requiring the RT to "complete" the relationship by seeking it elsewhere.
