I'm so glad you asked 😇 so the year is 2028(9?). Buck and Eddie have been married for n months. summer's nearing its end and Eddie is driving Christopher to move-in day for his first semester of college. they don't make it.

the year is 2033. Buck, who hasn't set foot in LA in years, gets a call offering him captaincy of the 118. probably not a great idea but he takes it. two months in they get a call to some particle physics lab. and things, as they are wont to do, go wrong.

the year is 2018. Buck wakes up in a body fifteen years younger than he remembers, in an apartment that never belonged to him, a day before he met Eddie Diaz.
