Writing Tip of the Week
“We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, then, is not an act, but a habit.” - Aristotle
Tutor Tuesday:
West Virginia University was closed last week for the holidays, so we reluctantly missed a previous Tutor Tuesday. Today we have two tutors to recognize, our lovely Emily and Erin.
Emily is an undergraduate, Biochemistry major. Her favorite quote is: "We are all in the gutter, but some of us are looking at the stars."
Erin is an undergraduate, Multidisciplinary Studies and Child Development Double Major. Her favorite quote is: "Have courage and be kind”- Cinderella
I am always saying “Glad to’ve met you” to somebody I’m not at all glad I met. If you want to stay alive, you have to say that stuff, though.
J.D. Salinger, The Catcher in the Rye (via books-n-quotes)
Don’t sabotage yourself. There are plenty of other people willing to do that for free.

Today, “handmade” is a badge of honor on many products. Two centuries ago, “factory made” must have been highly coveted.
We say “Bow and arrow”, but nobody says “Gun and bullet”
More than anything I grieve over what we never said.

Remember! Tip and Treat tomorrow, October 30th, in the Mountain Lair!
Drop by for some candy, some writing tips, and our studio’s information! We will be in the lair from 12:00pm-2:00pm giving out candy to all who visit our table.
“it’s not” and “it isn’t” are both contractions of the exact same phrase - it is not…
A bell floating in the vacuum of space would, without air resistance, reverberate for longer than any other bell. But no one would ever be able to hear it.
WVU Students, remember that The Eberly Writing Studio will be hosting "Tip and Treat" on Monday, October 30th inside the Mountain Lair! Come find us there!
