due to lack of interest i’m going to be closing spectacle idol awards down. to those who showed interest thank you for the support.

I don't think there's anything necessarily wrong with wanting to run / host an award show for the community but I think admin e would've benefited from having an introduction as well as maybe a link to their oc blog ( or a main blog ig ) so people knew who they were no one's really gonna wanna get invested in an event if they're not sure who's running it

as requested. here is an intro to spectacle idol awards and some common faq. any other faq will be added to this post.

what is spectacle idol awards?

spectacle idol awards is a biannual award show hosted for the fiction idol community.

this is a trial run, and if this doesn’t get the desired amount of nominees by the due then it will be permanently closed.

schedule

nominations are open until december 31, 2025. the official award show will be on january 30, 2026. apps for hosts and performers are now open.

how does it work?

the community will be able to nominate any fictional group, soloist, or audition through the form up until the nomination deadline. from there the official nominations will be released. voting will begin as soon as those are released and will stay open up until the day before the show to give the admin time to do graphics.

who is admin e?

admin e, aka exie, has been a member of the idol oc community on and off for the last 5 years. she can currently be found at @gardencfeden

general rules apply. most important is be respectful of the admin, nominees, and winners. no bullying and/or harrasing.

i will no longer accept questions sent through @/fiicfessions ask box. all questions to be answered must be directed to the main ask box. if we have questions we should go right to the source.
