The boy ran ( limped ) behind rocks, taking any cover he could find. The BLASTER FIRE was only getting LOUDER. Yes, LOOTING homes during the climax of the battle wasn’t the BRIGHTEST idea he ever had ( && definitely not the SAFEST ), but it was the EASIEST. The ones lucky enough to even have a proper place to stay fled as the fighting grew nearer — BESIDES he never took anything IMPORTANT, just enough to fill his belly for the night.

He pressed himself against the rock, && finally leaned down to look at the wound — likely already infected with HIS luck. The smoke gradually became thicker, && the clanking of the battle droids only more distinct. It only left him wondering WHICH side he was physically on.

As the blaster fire grew louder, Hera knew she had to help the boy.

She had seen him dive into a house. Curiousity getting the best of her, she followed him and regained sight of him as he rose from the house. From what she could see, he was likely looting whatever thing that was salvageable from it. The war had taken its toll on everyone, and the Twi'Lek could see that. Hera was planning on escaping, but that boy would surely die if he was found by droids or if he stayed in the crossfire.

Sighing and silently cursing her kindness, Hera did her best to follow the boy to his hiding spot. The wind stung her face as dust was kicked up everywhere around her.

Getting behind the rock, she gently proceeded to ask him a simple question.

"Are you okay, kid?"
