Introduction

I think this blog is about finding some inspiration in the midst of all the frustration and disappointment; reminding myself that I enjoy this field the way it would be—that this is all temporary.

I’m in my last year of graduate school, nearly done with the bulk of my coursework, and was just dipping my feet into my practicum as the pandemic started. I was supposed to be in clinical rotations this summer, finally serving my community—but instead, I am completing simulated cases in my bedroom and writing reports on filmed clients. C’est la vie.

I’m going to use this as a place to document my successes for the days that feel harder. I was a Tumblr user back in my undergrad years (I’m now a ripe old 28-going-on-29-year-old, which is quite old for Tumblr), and something about it feels right these days.
