With Sally’s support, Sonic was able to sit up somewhat, and he smiled at her again as if to say “thank you”. 

It had been so long since he last ate, or even did anything, so he was indeed very hungry. The hedgehog gazed over to the bowl of soup, his stomach rumbling slightly.

Once it was noted Sonic’s position was steady enough to let go, she turned back to pick up the bowl of soup she had left of the chair. Careful to shift the bowl now and then in her hands to avoid being burnt, while blowing the steam that rose from the bowl away in her attempt to cool it down.

Sally then picked up the spoon as she propped herself up on the very edge of Sonic’s bed. Her hand that held the spoon slowly moved toward Sonic’s mouth, while her other hand just slightly beneath it to keep it from dripping off the spoon and onto Sonic.

Slowly, Sonic opened his mouth to drink up the soup, being careful to not burn his mouth in the process.

The soup tasted delicious to him, and he gladly slurped it up as if he hadn't  eaten in years.
