No response... Odd, for the older DWN would usually respond to his favourite brother fairly quickly; Especially in the weeks of their punishment.

[Muffled being dead in the distance.]

...And there he goes, having finally collapsed yet again.

Air says nothing to counter Quick’s statement - or to agree with him. He’s quite sure his brother has heard more than enough about it from many, many other DWNs, and he doesn’t feel the need to add more of his own opinion on the matter.

"Good," he says instead, and turns on his fan at enough speed to push Quick back if he doesn’t pick up his pace and effort. He can’t push Quick to his brother’s limits in here - one or the other of them will end up either blowing down a wall or running into (and through) one, but he can at least give his sibling a chance to move in a way that he’s probably genuinely aching for.

Being denied the thing you were made to do could not be good for any robot’s psyche, and he’s going to have to mention that to Flash to see if they can at least schedule in some sanctioned time for Quick to go for a run - and either work on giving Crash proper hands or give him something he can feel productive at instead of humiliated and degraded.

Whoa--! Even though he'd know it was coming, the wind still manages to push the speedster back ever so slightly. Better speed up a little; Fight it and regain his place in the hall, then conquer more. The wind around him is a comforting sensation, one he hasn't felt properly since... Well, he can't even remember. A smile pricks at the corner of the DWN's lips for the first time in equally as long. This is right. This is what he was built for, this is--

This isn't enough. He's cutting through the breeze like it was nothing at this point, and he hasn't even reached anywhere close to his top speed yet! There was more to it than that, but... He can't put his finger on it. Instead, he'll just...

"Oi, that all you got?! C'mon, bro-- I thought this was supposed to be helping me out, not puttin' me to sleep!"

Though his words are sharp, his tone is light. Quick's happier than a clam, and it's showing in his playful jab at Air Man.

"I’ll be sure to talk to him about that, as well," Air Man says, and there’s the slightest hint of disapproval in his tone. "I’ll admit that what the two of you did was ill-advised, but the nature of these punishments seems a little too personal, at least for as long as they’ve lasted so ar."

He watches Quick calmly - not that the face on his armor is the most expressive of them, and there’s no way he’s removing said armor just to show his feelings - and taps his arm against his side thoughtfully. "I’m sure. You have energy to burn off, and I have a way for you to do it - that might not be entirely unpleasant for you."

He leads his brother into a relatively complete and empty hallway, and moves to one end of it. "In a moment I’m going to turn my fan on," he says simply. "I suggest that if you don’t want to be blown away, you start running."

"Mhm." Honestly? He's getting sick of even hearing about the darn trip to Light Labs anymore. One little visit, and it's like he and Crash killed a man. He rolls his eyes, grumbling a little under his breath.

When Air Man leads him into the hall, Quick's wariness only grows-- Even moreso once his older brother heads to the opposite end. It's so easy to say you're not going to prank someone, then turn around and do it. Trust him, he knows. He does it all the time! Thankfully, Quick is shaken from his thoughts in time to hear Air Man's explanation.

"Okay...?" He begins to jog, approaching his brother at an even pace as he waits for the fan.

It’s at least partially true; Air Man knows his brother well enough to recognize that nothing he just said was a lie. But on the other hand, it certainly doesn’t come across as all of the truth, especially with how fidgety Quick is getting.

"Mm," Air Man mutters, nodding slowly. "Flash has forbidden you from leaving the site, correct? For how long now?" Too long, judging by Quick’s behavior. He’ll need to see what can be done about that - Quick needs to learn his lesson properly, yes, but his mental health is important for his ability to function…. "I’ll talk to him. For the moment… come with me. I think I can give you a way to stretch your legs without breaking any rules that are set up."

"Uh huh." There's a soft whine to his voice at acknowledging his limitations. "Asshole's probably laughing his head off, watchin' this. Urgh..."

Quick blinks at his older brother's offer to speak to Flash, and shakes his head. "Nah. If you're gonna talk to him about anything, talk to him about Crash. The poor kid's getting the worst of it-- He can't even lift stuff, Air. And Flash is makin' him do just that. Literally all the time. It's not fair."

Another blink, but Quick follows Air Man, lagging beind him slightly. "Y' sure this ain't some kind of prank...? 'Cuz I really ain't in the mood, bro."

Not that Air Man was the pranking type, but with even Bubble Man and Heat Man getting in on taking the mickey outta the two siblings, no one was safe.

"What’s up is you’re avoiding my question," Air says, gazing calmly at his brother. "If you’d rather not report it to Flash right now… maybe I could help?"

"'M not avoiding anything, man. I'm fine. Bored outta my skull and so utterly done with this punishment, but fine."

Not quite true. The DWN seems a bit jittery, folding his arms, only to place them at his side, and then putting his hands on his hips. He's tapping his foot impatiently, looking everywhere but at his brother.

"Are you functional, Quick Man? If you’re having malfunctions you should report them, punishment or not."

"Huh. Look who finally got his head outta the clouds. 'Sup, bro."

He doesn't answer Air's question, instead folding his arms and glancing to the side. He's not going to Flash, no way.

""Only authorized" what…? Oh, am I not allowed here—?" Plum asked, tilting her head as she frowned. "I was walking around, so…Sorry if I trespassed or anything." How awkward.

"But still, hello." She said.

A glance back to the pretty girl reveals that she's frowning. Ohhh, no. No no no no no. She shouldn't be frowning--! She's too cute for that! (...Geez, what's wrong with him?) Quick holds up his hands shaking his head in an attempt to rectify the situation.

"Weeeell-- Technically not, seein' as the place is kinda private and all... But y'know what?" A soft grin quirks at his lips. He's feeling plenty rebellious in light of weeks of punishment. "Some rules are made to be broken. 'S long as you stay by me, I don't see any problem with it-- Oh, n' if you keep that pretty little mouth of yours shut about it afterwards.~ Alright?"

"Hi!" Plum greeted with a smile and a wave. She knew Quickman! He had participated in Battle & Chase before.

Though…There was something nagging her. Something about Quickman that she had momentarily forgot. Hm…
