most people went to the library to study. he only went to rob them of their wifi. it was better than what he had at home. A LOT better. “is this seat taken?” he pesters a boy in the chair adjacent to him. there were no other vacant tables left.

pokemon-themed sneakers lightly kick the ground as she munches on some snacks. erin was taking a small break from streaming today. eyes lock onto the fidget spinner in the hands of the guy sitting across from her on the other bench. it’s no surprise that her friendly qualities come in and she’s already walking over, pulling her own fidget spinner out of her pocket. ❝ hey, random stranger, i have one too! ❞ one of those fancy chrome ones.
well, would you look at that! and they say fidget spinners repel people. however, he’s gotten massive hate from people in person and on the web. it won’t stop him from spinning though. he spins to win, that’s the only way to go. his eyes gleam at the sight of another spinner. “that’s so cool! better looking than my dumb ole’ batman one. i got it cause it looked pretty neat, but it spins horribly.”

“ w-wait! can you at least try to help me?” peter crouches down, picking up the broken half of the sign. he stares at its separated other half, then back to the one bound to a post. looking at it, it was depressing. what was once whole is now incomplete. kind of like losing the love of your life. poor sign. he makes the best attempt he can to put it back together but, obviously fails ( he had nothing to keep it together, no glue or anything. ) “okay… let’s both nope outta’ here.”

kiel’s hand settles on his jaw once he’s completely turned around to face peter down below. he pretends to be in awe, eyes batting prettily all while his mouth remains pressed in a tight line.
a price for doing a simple human deed? isn’t that what life’s for? ha.
but really, a free meal. his wallet’s practically freaking sobbing at the idea. “i think! the fuck not,” he clarifies, mouth hanging agape in mock wonder. “at least not in this economy, buddy.” any sense of pulling the whole but i’m a high school student fact for guilt-tripping bait will only dig peter’s grave deeper, kiel’s wallet being whipped out to show the bills he doesn’t have - just to prove his point. “but thanks anyway.” he offers a hand towards the other for him to rise from his spot, a small, subtle smile being spared in place of the ridiculously fake one not even seconds ago.
“maybe you can spot us, though. considering it was your idea.”

he’s disappointed. he isn’t wearing it on his face but he’s definitely feeling it. though, what did peter expect? all his friends are nearly broke. broke people gravitate towards broke people, right?

ok, the time for joking is over now. maybe this kid’s actually passed out. in that case, he needs to get help. QUICK. “hey, a-are you okay?” she crouches down, trembling from the fear that he may be in danger, before gripping onto him to give him a few powerful shakes. “wake up!” she blurts out, tears spilling out from her uncontrollably. a stream of salty tears run down her cheeks, dripping off her chin and landing directly onto the poor boy beneath.
» ᴛʜᴇ ᴍᴀɢɴɪᴛᴜᴅᴇ ᴏғ the shake startles him, it felt like an earthquake was being manifested and it solely targeted him. ‘the... heck?’ next comes in an orotund sound, like a shot of thunder staving the night sky. and it doesn’t stop there. now there’s a barrage of water dampening the ends of his pants. jesus, what’s up with the weather. peter just wanted to DODGE the animal-like eyes of students but it seems like he’s just drawing more attention to him. he crawls out of the trash can, immediately being greeted with a sight of a crying classmate. he almost mistook her for a five year old because that’s exactly what she looked like right now. ❝ um, good morning? ❞ this is embarrassing.
