It didn’t take a genius to notice the awkwardness enveloping the room. It was enough to make Eva want to leave and find something else to occupy her time. Hearing April’s question, Eva shrugged, looking around the group of girls. She recognized Hunter almost immediately, having seen her in the halls of their old school. “I’m cool but thanks for asking.” April’s next question received a small nod from Eva before she leaned against the wall behind her. “You could say that.”

“So…have you two always gone to this school?” Eva was hoping the ease some of the tension as she looked between April and Anna-Rose, trying to start some sort of conversation.

Looking over at Eva as she responded to April’s questions in a closed off manner, Olivia stepped slightly in front of the other girl. “What Eva meant to say is that, we’ve seen Hunter in the halls, but we don’t really know her. Also, I’d be fine with water.” Casting a quick glance in her sister’s direction, she moved further into the room, sitting down near the rest of the girls, trying to make herself more open to the three of them.

Anna could tell that things were getting a bit dry quickly and briefly wondered if this whole impromptu meeting thing was a good idea. She figured that it would do some people well to meet people before school starts off. No one wants to start off school not knowing anyone. Spellbound was Spellbound and well, cliches sort tended to stick with their cliques. After hearing the sisters’ answers, Anna smiled. She had a feeling that Eva was going to be a tough cookie to crack. “Yep! April and I are within the same friend groups. Once you know one person, it’s pretty easy to get to know the others within the group.” Anna suddenly remembered that there was a pool party going on. “If anyone’s up for it, there is a pool party going on. It’s being thrown by Tyler and Valerie.”

MEET UP | Anna-Rose x Eva x Olivia x April x Hunter

As soon as she stepped foot into the resort, Anna-Rose was in a good mood. She did not care that her resort roommate was someone new and she also happened to be a mortal. She only cared that she was going to finally see all of her friends after a long summer. After speaking with Eva, she invited her to come along to April’s room. April had texted beforehand telling her that she had been paired up with a mortal as well. She thought that the two were lucky enough to be paired up with them because of the fact that not all of the students here would be so welcoming.

Once she noticed the room number, she skipped over to the door, knocking wildly. “Open up!” Anna-Rose smiled brightly, pulling April into a hug as soon as she saw her. “Hi! I’m Anna-Rose and this is my roommate, Eva.”
