Throughout my time of making visual art, I have always been inspired by music. Listening to music is such a unique experience for me and accompanies me throughout my whole day. And so I found myself thinking “I want to be able to do this, too”. I have tried for years and years to go something that goes along with something I paint, or something on its own, or just… something. I have never found the persistence in me to manage to finish anything because it just felt like something I would never be good at (even though I was always semi-good at singing). At the end of last year, I found myself really inspired by a new playlist I made and decided to push myself enough to finish something. I reminded myself I wasn’t born knowing how to paint, either. And it’s such a gratifying experience to combine it with an illustration as well.

Finally, here we are, with “Hope at last”. It’s an instrumental introduction to a bigger upcoming EP that will contain full-length songs and lyrics as well, but I wanted to cross off uploading something to streaming platforms at the start of the year.
