Frank says that many of our digital tools come from the notion that our work should be done a certain way, and therefore require certain and specific tools. He makes the plea for no new tools. And I get it: we're already inundated with tools -- one-thing-well types and all-things-to-all-people types. Thing is, we're tool makers. It's what sets us apart as human beings. Yeah, maybe we've already invented the basic tools (hammer, level, plane, etc.), but there is a still tons of opportunity for making processes faster or more pleasurable. There's a lot of merit in the pursuit of better tools -- especially as the world gets smaller and we get better at working together.
There's always a better way to say something. Saying something a better way is always an option. When saying something, look for a better way.
