Spexy Guy: Mark Specs: Fielmann/INTER 2117/CL/SE341 Rx: -16.00 Right / -11.50 Left What the Spexy Guy says about his specs: “I got my first glasses in kindergarten. Since then much has changed. From people making fun of me for wearing them to people wearing non-functional glasses for fun and style. Or, I had to wear huge lenses for the first 10 years and was so happy to finally get smaller and more fashionable frames with smaller lenses, just to see people getting enormous frames, on purpose, 10 years later. Yes, wearing classes was never fun for me. Try hardcore/punk shows with glasses! Mostly my glasses got kicked or punched down from hard dancing or stage divers. Luckily, I was always able to find them in the crowd because they still took care of each other despite the harder style in the pit. I smashed so many in my teenage years my optician knew already what happened when I entered his store after the weekend. :D I got everything from broken lenses to broken frames, but I had always spare glasses with me so it was not that of a big deal. But those were a must because I see almost nothing without them. At that time my public health care paid for the lenses and I only had to pay for broken frames, but I mostly took the cheapest, so it wasn't that bad. Later on, I even had glasses just for shows. I played sports with glasses, still play heavy drums wearing them, and still go to shows. When I play drums, I use a rubber band for sports to hold them on my nose. See Photo - it's a live pic of my former band. The sweat is the main enemy but sometimes it can happen that I hit them off myself due to ecstatic drumming. :D Then I am worried about dropping them under my kick pedal and destroying them, because I don't stop playing. ;) And still, with all these inconveniences, they are a huge part of my life and appearance. I never tried to get contact lenses or eye surgery. They were and will always be with me."
