location drawing Brixton Market
5, 6, 7, 8, 9 & 10th of July ~ daily drawings
eat yer heart out (Tales of Tales) / juice rasta showing his son’s school reports and granting extra ginger to fuel my locks / first day working at the Whitechapel Gallery / daily caresses of the lavender plants along my road / charity shop skirt - from the MoMa to my hips / Pimms patriotism
Reportage sketchbook
30, 31st of August, 1, 2, 3 & 4th of September - daily drawings
suffocating into that all too familiar darkness (drawing skills are plummeting with all else) / back to therapy (framing moons) / despairing prowls of London’s streets and wandering through the British Museum - can it be called running away when you’re still in Zone 1? / finishing ‘the secret history’ by donna tartt (such a wonderful read) / watching London burn down (again) and hearing the wood crackling from our viewing perch on a roof before being shunned by security
plantlife book
skipping ahead but perhaps the only (slightly) festive drawing made this winter. found a spray painted leaf lunar and i’d take the smell of pine to visions of sugar plums any day
Almost an entire year has passed - wishing on eyelashes and 11.11′s for snow
Drawing on the Underground
11th+12th January
Bit behind with the ‘drawing a day keeps the ills at bay’ but there are the little drawings from that fateful day - the roses my Mother and I laid at the Brixton mural (there were probably only around a dozen) - but oh how it grew!

Blind drawings from the Underground
Winter 2016 parts of / bedroom still life (Jack Daniels was my first drink of teenage choice, it used to burn my throat but now all it burns is wax) / work still life (although not still at all - thoroughly enjoy watching people jump/ would recommend the Kentridge show) / Leighton House Museum & who knew such exoticism lay in grey ol’ Kensington / curation projects on youth culture / finally feeling scholarly and excited to follow these threads
over a year ago & I feel smaller
Reportage sketchbook
11, 12, 13 & 14th of July - daily drawings
canine comforts / the prettiest plate I’ve had the pleasure to eat off / Grandad’s nutritional ‘hand bag’ / day one of Latitude festival - haven of bleating candy floss, ferns under foot and opening ceremony - gloaming of rabbit heads floating moons and Bowie’s heroes
26, 27, 28 & 29th of August - a drawing a day
London people watching - spying a checkered chello man / Regents Canal walks to the Viktor Wynd Museum of Curiosities and nestled between rubber intimate parts was this book title and dusting butterflies and ‘SUMMER CAN’T LAST’ almost made me cry / wonderful what a bit of silliness can do for the soul - larking about with dear friends in celebration of a second birthday (complete with salted caramel cake and a new sketchbook no less) / comfort of Grandad’s armchair
