Phoenix Festival 1994

Trying to summarise everything I saw at my first festival into a single blog post would be an impossible task for me.  Without a doubt, the four days spent on a disused airstrip just outside of Stratford Upon Avon was the best time I’d ever had at that point in my life.  Over twenty years later, it is still right up there as one of the happiest times I have ever had.

Compulsion, Skunk Anansie, Rub Ultra: The LAII, Summer 1994

In stark contrast to everything else I’d been to, this took place in the middle of summer, on a scorching hot day.  I can’t remember everyone who went along, but think quite a big group of us went up.  Certainly Darren (again), a pal of ours called Graham, and for the first time, the fabulously named Dirty Man Stan.   Pretty sure that Reggie was there too, and possibly even some girls this time.
