I MEAN COME ON!!! TRYING TO GET ACROSS DIMENSIONS?? STUDYING THAT SHIT? That may be more of a 1610 Miles thing but I like to think that both Ganke"s are REALLY interested in it too. Or at least 42 is.
I feel like with the way their world is too, 42 Ganke is more likely to get a position at Alchemax. At the very LEAST for their science and tech and ease of access to stuff for his own projects.

Assuming we know nothing(or little) about this Ganke's parents, is it too daring to think that, perhamps, his mother is Doc Oct? Or father, if we're being different. Just A PARENT in general?
And maybe I just like projecting onto them, but also maybe like... do you see what I'm getting at. Her ass probably hates kids. And isn't easily impressed. So imagine having a kid you probably don't even want (for science? Maybe.... more angst potential..) and he grows up absolutely DESPERATE to please you and get told that you're proud of him and that he's enough. And then he gets to an age where he no longer has to rely on you (or other people, her ass did nothing to raise him), and he starts thinking for himself, and since you're all bad and evil and stuff you realize something.
This whole entire time, the past thirteen long, dreadful years of your life, you haven't been using your full potential.
You have a pawn right at your fingertips.
A young mind full of turmoil and the overwhelming need to please you.
Someone who can be easily molded.
Manipulated.
Shaped.
Formed.

Just sitting on the couch right in front of you. An entire person of just wasted potential. One who was sat on his ass for his entire life and done nothing (in her opinion)
And if you're all evil and bad, what are you gonna do with that information?

So she starts training him, in small ways at first, going easy on him since he's still just a boy, really, but gradually working him up with harder and harder tasks and missions until he's finally earned himself a pair of his own robotic octopus arms (that he had to engineer and build himself)
And FINALLY for ONCE in his fucking LIFE he is making his mom PROUD OF HIM. He finally gets the love, the praise, the appreciation he's craved ever since he was a toddler.
Ooh, and he's doing such a good job hacking into top secret shit and files and such a good job stealing and doing his mother's dirty work and-- what's this?
There's this new kid on the block.
Apparently, the old Prowler's retired. His alliance fell through. And the new Prowler? His loyalty has completely flipped. Motives, too.
Instead of aiding them in raids and taking out enemies, he's now actively ATTACKING them and foiling their missions.
Instead of being a villain like the rest of them, he's suddenly trying to get RID of the villains?
The fuck is this guy's problem.
Who does he think he IS suddenly poking his nose into shit he DOESNT belong in?? SCREWING UP GANKE'S CHANCE WITH HIS MOM!!! The chance he's been waiting SIXTEEN YEARS FOR! Oh, he's pissed.
He overhears hears his mom talking at a meeting about a plan to try and lure and trap this kid to get him off their asses (he's a master at sneaking and eavesdropping at this point.. even just to hear his mother's voice and think up ways he can make her like him) and he decided that this is his moment. His calling. His purpose.
That very night, he decides to make the Prowler (junior, as they're calling him) his very own personal mortal enemy.
But little does he know
The guy he's constantly trying to kill every night?
His roommate.
Yeah, The Prowler Junior(™️) is his high school roommate and (soon to be) certified best friend.
Blah blah blah they fight all the time oh but now they're chill and- I just blinked why are you guys kissing and holy hell your mother found out and tells you that you don't deserve your last name and will never live up to your potential (which, she claims she knew this, which is why she gave him his father's last name and not her own. Lee.) and you're fighting with Miles again and yet oh God now you've been disowned and have to go to him for help Oh No That's Bad What.

Basically that E-42 Ganke is literally Nine while in that same universe there is Miles G/The Prowler being literally Shadow The Hedgehog and Miles Morales/Spider-Man on the other hand being literally Sonic The Hedgehog traveling between dimensions like in prime?
There's no way that those parallels were not made on purpose, for some reason all the comparisons between Spider-Man being Sonic The Hedgehog and E-42 Prowler being Shadow The Hedgehog had A LOT of impact on the internet, leaving any other nonsense comparison with the SEGA characters completely forgotten.
If SEGA and Spider-Man or Marvel do a future collaboration, there's literally a 99% chance that Miles will be Sonic and Miles G. will be Shadow, thanks to all the fanarts and comparisons that were made between them.
And that's not to mention the number of comparisons between Ghostflower and Sonamy, which are many.
Ngl, it's actually worrying how there are people who mischaracterizing Gwen Stacy and unironically think that she's an edgy with suicidal thoughs who does not know how to interact with people and a lone wolf when she always was literally all the opposite.
Or worse still, some try to minimize or erase her evolution as a result of his character arc by implying that, for example, during his stay in Spider-Society she did nothing but get depressed like Peter B during his flashback in ITSV when doesn't exist a single source that supports that, on the contrary, both the creators, the directors, actors and the art book itself literally said that she did the complete opposite of that, maturing, making true friendships and progressing in her social skills.
They did exactly the same thing with Miles the past year with his "Sunshine-boyification", and I still don't understand what the purpose of this is? Why want to transform a character into something totally different?
And I say this as a fan of her, of Miles and of all the characters in the Spider-Verse, I have had my own personal problems, some of those were no small thing at all, but I was always optimistic and that is something that characterizes these characters.
Its optimistic and positive messages inspires me and A LOT of people, and seeing that there are people who want to change that for something that the creators NEVER intended to do is uncomfortable and exhausting.
And you don't need to be insulting me, if you don't like what I say, ignore me and go on with your day calmly.

gwen is so funny as a character. we saw her as such a Cool Teenage Girl in the first movie. she figured out so young how to be spiderwoman, beat bullies at school to protect her friend, is a punk, a drummer in a band, does ballet and adds the grace of her movements to her swinging and fight style, makes her own clothes and changes her hair every month, etc etc.
all that only for us to find out the most important thing about her character is she's a LOSER despite all that. she can't make friends except for peter, can't communicate with people properly, makes a fool of herself in front of her crush's parents, makes terrible decisions under pressure and tries to avoid conflict until she's on the verge of losing sanity.
and ykw? that's exactly why i adore her character so much. fake girlfailure lovers when real girlfailures (gwen stacy) come at them: oh no why would this traumatized homeless & alienated teenager do this....kill it with fire
I really don't understand why it's said that she literally doesn't know how to communicate with people, because until now I've only seen the opposite among her friends. In fact, Gwen is one of those people who, the more trust they have towards the other person, the more open they are, it's not something weird and it's something very different from "Not knowing how to interact with anyone"
Besides, "Losing the sanity" is not the appropriate term to refer to her situation either in the prologue or when she was kicked out of the Spider-Society, another VERY different thing is that she has been desperate, that she does not know what to do, nor anyone to go to, because if she had really "almost lost her sanity" she would have gone totally crazy until she sank into dementia, something she was never even close to being in that situation, in fact, the only two characters who were really on the verge of losing his sanity were Miguel and, of course, Miles, who with the short "The Spider Within" we saw how really broken he was inside, and even worse after ATSV.
Im about to replay stray (unrelated), so I put on atsv in the background, and I realized something.
Gwens entire arc is in this movie is explained in the first 3 minutes.
All she does is talk about miles but she's constantly relating her life to his, saying, 'he's not the only one." She wants to be like him, have the type of courage he has to step up to miguel. Not only that, but she starts with "lets do things differently this time" so we know the version of her that is speaking is the one at the end of the movie, when she is trying to fix what she did, and unhurt her friend.
Please, just rewatch the first 3 or so mins of the movie and tell me im not crazy. (It is taking every bone in my body to not go off on a tangent rn)

I never wanted to say this, but the Spider-Man fandom has become a bad joke, there are people who do not know that Miles is the Barry Allen or the Hal Jordan of the franchise and who not only do not recognize him as Spider-Man , but they don't even recognize that it has become an unstoppable phenomenon thanks to Spider-Verse. What a FUCKING disappointment.
