the door malfunction in January was just the latest issue with 737 MAXs specifically - a lot of you might remember the crashes in 2018 and 2019 that killed 346 people, caused by a faulty stabilizing feature that the FAA defended after the first crash. there are families still seeking damages against Boeing five years later.

in 2018, a 20-year old engine that had been serviced a few days prior shattered a 737's window, killing one person. the other passengers had to pull her body back into the plane.

the deadliest single aircraft accident in history, Japan Air Lines flight 123, killing 520 people, was because of a shitty repair job on the 747's vertical stabilizer after an impact during landing, causing most of it to rip off during flight.

Israel's arms relationship with Boeing is worth billions, with Boeing recently sending over 1000 missiles to Israel during the first week of the current Gaza genocide.

as well, the company has received and continues to receive hundreds of millions in tax breaks. which is just ridiculous.
