seriously the sims community is suffering an epidemic of AI-loving, LAZY, rude, oddly delusional?? and entitled "creators"

this is a single-player game but their cc likely stems from what this community has built up

your content is not bringing on some messianic discovery and alienating others when they point out that they probably shouldn't put other people's stuff behind paywalls, or they're not giving credit or falsely advertising instead of taking it as sage advice is just weird

it's a busted-ass game. no one is trying to pay for you to post

So this is really pissing me off because I see this in the sims machinima community too especially sims 4.

You people piss me the fuck off. The amount of shows I clicked on where it is like "Voice acted by ai" and there's a lot that are even not disclosing. YOU HAVE TO DISCLOSE THAT YOU USED AI AT THE START OF THE VIDEO, NOT JUST YOUR DESCRIPTIONS ETC. (YOU SHOULDN'T USE IT AT ALL) I know this is end stage capitalism BUT DO YOU GUYS KNOW HOW TO HAVE A HOBBY?! Not everything needs to make capital or be done within a snap. You are trying to get crumbs from people by using ai without a single thought of the damage you participate in or how lazy and disrespectful that stuff is. There is not a single excuse for me that you can use, to justify the damage this causes and the people you exploit, that's not hard research to do. We have been doing shit by hand for years, there's so many ethical tools to use even in technology. How much more decrease of friction do you even need?!

so... this has to be some of the most blatant disregard i've ever seen anyone have for their peers in this community.

i only bought her default replacements and it cost me $50.29 USD — that's more than The Sims 3 base game AND an expansion pack from Steam, WITH change left over.

and that was just one section.

she said it herself, the overhauls take a LOT of work. no argument there. you know what else takes a lot of work? going through hundreds of package files that used to be free, deleting them, and relisting them for five dollars a pop. that's work too. very deliberate work.

old versions are still free, she said so. so she knows the line exists. she just wants you to pay to cross it now.

This is coming from a person who used think using AI personally was chill & cool but has since learned otherwise. Y'all using AI to make textures, meshes & ads for your cc, Y'all think it looks good. And it don't. It's the rose glasses bc it saved u so much time but I'm tell yall its so obvious and just looks bad. It don't look good babes :( & we would much rather you makes something with your actual hands pls & thanks. The joy of creating is making it yourself.
