the way dizzee n shao are like. dizzee grows up loved and supported in a large family but the alienation of queerness is still so much that he has to leave his family and make a new one, he and thor are involved with each other and the queer community at large, it’s the happier, found-family gay storyline . . . meanwhile shao has been alone his whole life and despite his attempts to make his own family i feel he reprsents the more bitter and angry side of the community, that understands and rages at abuse, that sees the reality and harshness of the world and can’t find the support he needs. . . i wish shao had gotten the love he deserves but there’s also something so refreshing in his anger and stubbornness he’s fighting so hard and also angry to have to fight so hard . . .
