   trauma. TRAUMA. the word sat on his mind heavily, and he twisted his hands together uncomfortably. He sat on a rock overlooking the ocean, exhausted both physically and mentally. He didn’t know where he went from here. Talking to Connie hurt, talking to the gems felt impossible, and he’d burdened his dad enough, hadn’t he? Steven let out a small breath, moving to pull his knees to his chest as he heard the soft crunch of sand underfoot, indicating someone was drawing close. 

   “ I’m.. I’m okay. I just – I need to be alone right now. ”

Spinel sat down next to him, looking out at the ocean. It was a calming place she always loved to visit now. But seeing as how her 'family' was so overbearing, it was rare that she could come down here.

"I know that look... Thinkin' 'bout stuff that you don't wanna... Right?"

So familiar. She had that look on her face before, sometimes just thinking for years at a time. Even now, she still has that look every now and then.

Alright so things happened.
