kinda petty but i don't like the genre of jokes that revolves around a self-evidently irrational and delusional person that fails to realize it is all just the disorder. you know the kind, "its not called a manic episode its called a lust for life" or "i dont have cptsd i just do all those things for other reasons" or "apparently just because you want things to be exactly your way all the time you have ocd now". if you actually think of dsm diagnoses as symptoms syndrome then the whole supposed humor of it falls apart and you're basically left with "its all good and ok to interpret your experiences and life on your own terms but at the end of the day the correct interpretation is the clinical one, and rejecting it is so absurd as to be laughable"
