But the last one had stung.

It wasn’t like the weapon DIDN’T wish to make friends, he merely… didn’t have time. And wasn’t sure how. And….

The teen is UNSURE of how to respond and his gaze drops to his book. He’s offended, but he doesn’t voice it. Spirit can do the talking. Whatever he wants.

“Don’t worry. I’ll be here to keep your company. I might even be friendly.”

Not that he’s ever not friendly. Well maybe to Stein after they split ways. That was a personal decision and Stein VIOLATED his trust. He never expected Stein to do experiments on him. That’s besides the point. He got the feeling Justin might be upset but he sure didn’t think anything of it. Why? He just pointed out the truth.

“I’ll even invite you out to Chupa’s with me. I’m sure a bit of drink will l o o s e n you right up!”

TBH it would be interesting if he did. Maybe it was an anime thing? The anime definitely had the whole “kishin egg” thing after all.

Anyway, he seems to at least elude to the fact that he knows more than he’s letting on. At least, to ME. I read it like that tbh. Tbh, Spirit acts dumb, but he’s a lot smarter than he lets on.
