Facing Evil with Maya Angelou
Policing Was Not Voted In
Private merchants made the public pay for their private security in Boston, Mass. Policing started as Slave Patrols in the South. These were private militias. Within 12 years, police split into factions and policing went to war with itself. Eventually, policing organized around controlling labor, controlling immigrants. The public never asked for it, policing was never voted in. Policing is something the wealthy did to everyone else, to control slaves, and then to control labor when they couldn’t call it slavery anymore.
I STAND WITH AFROMAN
Afroman is a hero.
Conjured
Police do not really know what they’re showing up to.
Rest in power, Brandon Durham. Police really had no idea what they were getting into. Their decision-making was to enter his house, because reportedly, a trespasser had already gone in. They went in and killed the man of the house.
Brandon Durham, 43, was fighting off a female intruder when an officer shot him multiple times
Assumption: Non sequitor. It does not follow, that because a trespasser has entered the house, that police should also trespass. Two wrongs don’t make a right.
Rest in Power, Daniel Shaver. Daniel Shaver was killed because of speculation, because of what seemed to be. Speculators conjured police on the speculation that Daniel had pointed a firearm out of his window. It turned out to be a pellet gun he used to kill birds as part of his job as an exterminator.
The error?
Speculation. Things are not as they seem.
Both of these men were killed by police acting on assumptions. The ignorance that culminated in Daniel Shaver's death has to do with conjuring, with the fact that anyone can call the police and say whatever, and men at arms will appear based on that whatever, without really knowing what’s true. As regards Brandon Durham and Daniel Shaver; cops didn’t really know what they were showing up to. That didn’t stop them from showing up with loaded firearms and killing the innocent.
Police can be conjured.
17) Censorship Amidst Book Burning
Dort wo man Bücher verbrennt, verbrennt man auch am Ende Menschen. -Heinrich Heine,
Oil baron funds censorship in public school libraries. Censorship and propaganda coordinated by white nationalist group: Moms for Liberty; targets LGBTQ and colored authors & young readers. Why? To replace the school board, to get pay rolled, to control children.
“If you choose to marginalize difference and remove representation you will only cause harm. History will remember your decisions and demand accountability.”
- Westin Brown
Where do we go from here?
What will work and what won’t?
Resist. Be non violent, yet disruptive.
Be disruptive? Why should I have to do anything?
History has seen waves of fascism before, fascism is as bad as it is in the US because not enough people are standing up to it: the pedagogy of hate in public school that is leaving entire generations ignorant of and tolerant towards hate itself, the church’s unresponsiveness to the ubiquitous homeless crisis (a crisis that is everywhere, yet many churches dismiss as not being a problem in their neighborhood, and by doing so, they effectively push the homeless out of their communities), white supremacy and police brutality, the punishment bureaucracy and incarceration; are all different sides of the same imperialism that the people have to stand up to.
You have to stand up.
You cannot afford to be violent. Community pays the price for violence, not the state.
Resist. Block everything. The French have a better record of resisting authoritarianism by disrupting power and making the cost of authoritarianism high for the economy and the state itself. Make their economy irrelevant.
Are you organized and brave? Speak truth to power.
Are you quick? Tear down the monuments.
Are you wealthy? Circumvent charities and make direct contributions to your communities and the impoverished. Some charities help, others are fronts for funding that do little more than refer indigents to other charities. The homeless I know appreciate hot food, fresh water, clothes, and camping supplies; and this needs to be said: you really can’t blame them for getting high.
The immigrant is not your enemy.
The homeless person is not your enemy.
The criminal is not your enemy.
Who asked you to fear them?
The “criminal justice reform” movement is in danger. Efforts to change the punishment bureaucracy are at risk of being co-opted
Liam Conejo Ramos
One cannot praise prisons and their proprietors without also being envious; because of all the things incarceration takes away from a person. Similarly, one cannot use their voice in support of torture or violence without making hate speech; because that’s all a hate speech is, voice in support of torture or violence against another human being. Arguments that criminals (ad hom) deserve to be punished assume that it’s okay to take revenge or retaliate against another person. Two wrongs don’t make a right.
What’s more, support for prisons is direct support for the development of carceral technologies and industries which profit directly from human-trafficking. The prison industrial complex is run for the sake of revenue. Prison is human traffick by any other name. Carceral technologies are means of torture by any other name. Tell me when you think it’s okay to incarcerate, torture or use violence against another human being, and I’ll tell you what you call your hate.

This is also a good time to bring up big oil,
However informative, the latter video leaves out the fact that the playbook is also violent; and makes no mention of unions, strikes, labor riots or how industries like big oil take the country to war. Capitalism was always another front for imperialist fascism. Also, it doesn’t matter how inexpensive or efficiently-produced commodities are when people cannot afford them at all because they have no income. Systemic violence makes the system corrupt.
Has government really succeeded in breaking up monopolies when large businesses can simply reorganize themselves into parent-subsidiary corporations without otherwise making meaningful changes or even dividing up the industries they corner?

This is what persecution under the First Amendment looks like. Imperialist Expansion continues in rural lands where communal resources such as tenable farming lands, fresh water, and electricity are being hoarded by big data to install commercial data centers. Such companies often use subsidiaries to misrepresent themselves, circumventing the law and the rites of the people.
The success of Black Wall Street, the 1921 Tulsa Race Massacre, and hope of the future.
"...not a single white person was prosecuted after the Tulsa massacre, the most deadly terrorist event in an American city until September 11, 2001. Hundreds of years of criminal acts against black people were unpunished such that the “rule of law” was formally converted into a tool to reproduce slavery by another name."

Emotions
For the most part, you don’t get anything for your feelings; no one is entitled to anything for having them; yet emotions make a difference. For having emotions, you get even more complex feelings. For example,
There is such a thing as a healthy fear; you should be afraid of objects that are sharp, hot or attached to spinning motors because they can hurt you. You also need fear to feel emotions that are more complex such as awe and respect. Comparably, there is such a thing as a healthy-disgust, you should be disgusted by anything that can contaminate or make you sick, such as needles, spoiled food, fecal matter, nudity and the sight of coitus. Without a healthy sense of disgust one is already deprived of an important barrier for protecting their dignity; one is already desensitized. Such a depraved person needs God to change, they also need to be able to feel some remorse, perhaps even disgust with themselves for callously engaging in behavior that deprives themselves of their dignity in the first place. Whenever such a person is inclined to drink, smoke or otherwise engage in vice they should remember that someone somewhere is disgusted by those things; go ahead and listen to the voice of your inner child saying, “Eww!”
Do you remember when you were a little kid and adults reeked to their guts of coffee? It was disgusting!
Beloved, I urge you as sojourners and exiles to abstain from the passion of the flesh, which wage war against your soul.
Peter 2:11
Therefore put away all filthiness and rampant wickedness and receive with meekness the implanted word, which is able to save your souls.
James 1:22
Fires are not extinguished by more fuel,
Let no on say when he is tempted, “I am being tempted by God,” for God cannot be tempted with evil, and he himself tempts no one. But each person is tempted when he is lured and enticed by his own desire. The desire when it has conceived gives birth to sin, and sin when it is fully grown brings forth death.
James 1: 13-15
And this is also a relevant argument concerning hate itself. Hate itself should disgust you. Per Se should disgust you. The thought of your neighbors profiling each other and trading such profiles for the sake of human traffick should disgust you. The simplest argument for explaining what is wrong with something as controversial as pornography is how many viewers cannot figure out what's wrong with it; because they are already desensitized having overcome any innate disgust for sex and nudity. It's the same with profiling another whether that's with debt, a criminal record, or for their sexuality. Man is not supposed to be the subject of profiling because he is already the subject of the lord.
Humble yourselves, therefore, under the mighty hand of God so that at the proper time he may exalt you, casting all your anxieties on Him, because he cares for you. Be sober-minded; be watchful. Your adversary the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour. Resist him, firm in your faith, knowing that the same kinds of suffering are being experienced by your brotherhood throughout the world. And after you have suffered a little while, the God of all grace, who has called you to his eternal glory in Christ, will himself restore, confirm, strengthen and establish you. To him be the dominion forever and ever. Amen
Peter 5: 6-11
Something kinda sad about The way that things have come to be Desensitized to everything What became of subtlety? How can this mean anything to me If I really don't feel anything at all?
