I love you episcopal church.
i think it is thru God’s will that i was given the opportunity to transition. to allow my body to better reflect my spirit, the same way grapes are turned into wine and wheat into bread. and for that i will praise Him all my days, the only man i will ever love.
Homophobic, transphobic, misogynistic, racist, etc Christians people piss me off so bad. You took a relationship with the divine, a relationship with a God that calls you to love, respect, and treat all people with dignity, and you poisoned it.
You poisoned it with hate, and decided to use God to control and abuse others. How fucking dare you. Genuinely why would anyone have a problem with people happily and peacefully living their lives? Are you so miserable and unsatisfied with your own life that you need to make everyone around you miserable too?
I can’t even blame people for leaving Christianity, not believing in God, or not liking Christians. If my only exposure to Christianity and God were miserable, bitter people who can’t stand to see someone different than them just existing in the world, I probably wouldn’t want any part in it either.
I know I should forgive and pray for these people. That they have a chance to change and be better. That it’s up to God alone to judge. But it’s genuinely so difficult for me, you people make me want to rip my fucking hair out.
My youtube fyp was full of transphobic and homophobic and racist things today and it made me genuinely so sad. why do so many people allow hate into their hearts at such a large scale? why do so many people willingly choose to perpetuate that hate and spread it to others, i will never understand. everyone is a wonderful unique person that should be allowed the same grace and respect and ability to find themself and be treated with the same love as their peers.
and it makes me so mad when people use faith as an excuse to hate. "Homosexuality is a sin" words were twisted by hate to imply that. faith calls us to love. gay people just love a little different from straight people. the most important two commandments of the christian faith, for example, is to love God and love your neighbor as yourself. how does that say that we should shun queer people, call them mentally ill, threaten them with violence, and strip them of a loving supportive family? how does that say that we should take people who come to America seeking safety and throw them into worse situations just because they don't look or act like you? God loves ALL of his children, so we should all love each other as well.
I love that so many religions have a mother figure that no one dares disrespect even if they aren't actively devoted to her. Like genuinely we cannot get through this without our mom. We need her. We are all together under Mom who cares for us and guides us and makes sure that we are ok
