You guys think this limp makes me look hot? I need to know for non Guzma purposes
You okay?
Pain the pain anon. I need to be kissed better, it’s the only way
Note to Rotomblr: OWWWWW
I’m going to kiss Guzma with so much tongue
//Hey guys!! As you might know, I've been gone a lot from Tumblr here as of late due to a lack of motivation. While I am attempting to come back as of now though (and trying to remake an older blog in the process) I've realized what exactly has killed said motivation and figured I should probably make a post about it, because this is a heavily important topic and I think a lot of it is happening unintentionally.
I want to preface this by saying that I am not targeting anyone, and I don't think any of this is malicious at all. But it HAS caused me and multiple other muns I know and I'm really close with, that have been here for just as long as me (if not longer), to also lose motivation. So it's important that it's brought to light here, and that I especially establish this as a boundary.
I've been in the Rotomblr community for a little over two years now, and there've been multiple instances where I've been debated about my own worldbuilding, or where I have gotten asks straight up trying to deny my own lore, and I've seen it happen to other muns on their blogs as well. This is not okay.
I enjoy hearing different people's takes on things! It's one of my favorite things about this community, because I absolutely adore seeing what other people create. But there is a difference between sharing lore respectfully, and straight up arguing with muns about their own stories. There is a major difference between going “Oh, hey! This is a really neat take on this, here's how it works in my universe!” and going “Well you're WRONG. It doesn't work that way, and you can't be right.” and shutting the owner of the character down on their own blog. Not to mention instances of trying to tell a character information they're not supposed to know yet, which is also deeply frustrating.
This is the leading cause in my recent lack of motivation. There's been a quite few instances on one of my other active blogs, but the most relevant is the fact I had to completely deactivate one of my previous blogs because of it a few months ago. Instead of being about the character, I felt like it became more about other blogs and their events than the story I wanted to tell. I don't mind having my characters remark about things they see or are told, but it's not fun when it feels like my own lore is being sidelined in favor of that.
And once again, I'm not the only person who has experienced this. I've seen it time and time again through my own experiences here, and especially with other muns, even driving some to leave completely. Which is why I want to bring this up so badly and want to prevent this from happening as frequently.
It is okay to have different lore and explanations than other people, and it's okay to share your own too! But it is insanely demotivating to be told constantly over and over that your ideas are wrong, and that other people's takes are better. Even if it's unintentional, it drives people away.
This isn't a competition of who's the greatest at things. We're all here to share our love for this franchise, and our stories we make with it. I hope this post can shed some light and establish some boundaries. Once again, I doubt that any of this is meant maliciously, but I want to bring it up as a warning for the future.
Guzma has no idea what’s coming his way hehe
🐚 (or [Shell])+ A character, and I'll give a fact/idea I haven't talked about/I think is underrated about them
KUKUI!!!!
//I haven’t really talked about it here much but on discord which I may bring the concept here for an event but like. Come on kukui in college must’ve been awful. Like compare every other professor to him. They’re all staying in their labs they don’t show up unless for like major story things versus how kukui is, he’s all over he goes from island to island with the player and generally more friendly. Also his whole style of being a professor is so much more hands on.
I think he hated college with everything being books this research that stay inside and study. Like the second he became a professor it was all “ROCKRUFF ATTACK ME DIRECTLY LETS SEE THE POWER OF THOSE MOVES”
Out of Character Rotomblr Ask Game
I have been looking for certain ooc ask games but they've all alluded me so I decided to make my own mess off them (almot none of these ideas are mine originally)
Send 🌙 (or [Moon]) + A theory about arcs/stories/lore and I can confirm it and elaborate, deny it and eleborate or simply say "spoilers" and not elaborate
Send 🌱 (or [Plant])+ A headcanon you have about a certain character, and I'll talk about how canon compliant (or not) it is
Send 🐚 (or [Shell])+ A character, and I'll give a fact/idea I haven't talked about/I think is underrated about them
Send ☀️ (or [Sun]) + Your favourite part of my character/their portrayal and I'll talk about why I chose to do that/the reason behind it
Send 🌺 (or [Flower]) + your own unique ask/ooc questions and I'll answer them to the best of my abilities
I want to be more fucking insane but I think you people would kill me for it
But you’re so fucking hot
I NEED TO BITE YOUY
Hell yeah
I want to be more fucking insane but I think you people would kill me for it
But you’re so fucking hot
A bit of an issue with public shaming (?) in the Rotomblr community.
Hi! I am writing this because I've noticed a bit of an issue over the past few years (even the ones where I WASN'T apart of this community) that can only be summed up a bit as public shaming, or at the least, minor bullying.
—And before I start writing this more, I just want to start out by saying: I am NOT pointing fingers at specific people. Yes, while multiple people I've noticed have displayed these behaviours, it isn't just them. It's a multitude of events that could all be collectively considered public shaming.
——————
The entire Rotomblr community is, to put it roughly, built around each other. It is a community where you send asks to people to build off of stories or lore, and you interact with others to form bonds with your characters. This is normal! This is what you would expect out of many roleplay communities— to talk and interact with people in-character.
And, in relation, to build the personality and life of your character.
But as of recent, I've noticed ( bigger blogs ) have a tendency to, putting it in simple terms, publicly shame blogs.
It may not be exact with my wording, but it's something that I find concern within.
When people realise that their blog reaches more than 100 followers ( or whatever you find to be a big blog for Rotomblr ), they also may have to take responsibility with that. You will be well-known, and more importantly, looked up to.
When you are looked up to, and you make certain posts such as a PSA or general rant post, people are going to look at you as a trusted source and trust you.
So, when you make a public post about how you are blocking somebody or that a certain group of people are being clique-y ( as in, there are no real issues within the group, just the fact they interact with each other frequently ), you take the responsibility with that.
Smaller blogs will see your posts, know that you are a respected and big blog, and trust these sources.
If your character blocked an account in-character, they may believe that the blog itself is bad.
When you call out a certain group of people, they may believe that they cannot interact with them because they will be purposefully outcasted.
You are responsible for what you put on your blog when you are known.
This doesn't include when you call people out for problematic antics. I mean when people have genuinely done nothing, but yet you find a problem with them and decide to publicly post it.
Vague posts, dash commentary, etcetera? That's fine. Making posts about blocking someone when you haven't interacted with them, or generally warding off interaction from someone from the get-go? Not really.
We were all beginner Rotomblr bloggers. We learned from the community who to trust and who not to. If smaller blogs see these publicly shaming posts, they trust it.
I started as a Rotomblr blog by myself— I really didn't know anybody beforehand. I had to get information off of whatever I saw on my dash, not resourced from friends. If I saw these publicly blocked blogs, I'd be cautious around them.
I hope you realise how much this may discourage smaller blogs when they see that they randomly got blocked with no real OOC reason provided and they haven't even interacted with that blog.
TDLR?
You are responsible for being a big blog. What you post, will be seen by many. Please just think about what you post beforehand.
You good bruv
I’m fine, I’m always fine
