You can find me here on AO3
Multi-Fandom || I will block you if you engage in bad faith or are unfriendly; I'm here to have a good time, not a hard one
#splitterregen comments also original posts, but more run-on-commentary compared to #splitterregen speaks
#reply for reblogs with an addition by me
#my fanfic I'd say this one is self-explanatory (you can also go for more specific filtering with #fandom fanfic, or just head on over to AO3 directly)
#rambling about my fics musings, frustrations, pondering plot, WIPs, polls, and snippets (#snippet will have an additional tag)
Regarding writing, why I share my work, and why some works will be abandoned:
Crucially, I write for myself, but I share my work for comments/connection,
and if I don't get any, I'll just keep the story to myself going forward because, otherwise, it'll just make me sad.
So, if sharing my story decreases the level of joy it sparks for me, I will no longer post more of it.
Simple as that.
Like, I am not a content provider, and if I see that people subscribe, bookmark, and leave kudos* but can't be bothered to leave a comment, I lose the drive to share ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
*kudos is nice and all, and if it's just a single chapter fic, I can get something out of them (in theory but not really), but honestly, I don't really care about something that might as well be just a way for someone to mark which fics have been read already
also, I'll admit that I do have a kind of cursed relationship with Kudos because I don't care all that much about getting them, but if I get less than 1 per 10 hits, I feel bad (don't ask me how I translate that into multi-chapter fics; it's complicated and involves charts) 🙈😭
Please note: If the last published chapter of the fic you're interested in doesn't have a note explaining that I have abandoned said work, then there will be an update at some point
Take a Bite out of Me—Feed the Monster in You(there is no monster in you) by Splitterregen
Chapter 6 is up, and old memories and habits have a tendency to come back if you lower your guard, but some things can't be helped.
“So, what kind of creed is it that you’re honoring by being here?”
“We protect those who cannot protect themselves.” Scott is steady again, calm, because this conviction lies at the very center of his being.
“I suppose that accounts for the unusual composition of your pack.” Crawford drags his gaze over the room, finding everyone not already seated at his table. “Humans and wolves always mix, but as far as I can tell, none of you are related. Most of yours is human—even a hunter I hold in high regard—but this kid”—he tilts his head toward Corey over at the bar—“and this one, too”—he indicates Theo with a tilt of his bottle—“are something else, something I’m not familiar with.”
“They are mine, and that’s all you need to know.”
“Easy there…” Argent is the very picture of composure, but everyone here is trained, so no one misses his posture shifting.
ratings etc. below the cut
Summary:
Post finale, dealing with the hunters leads to significant internal issues for Scott, and Theo tries to help, buuuuuuut he's one, very Theo about it, and two, there's not much that can be done without compromising what seems acceptable.
In short, conflict, pack dynamics, though only marginally, survival, musings about guilt, and consent issues all around, because the situation doesn't lend itself to clear lines.

I’m not a fan of ai, but I can accept that if someone chooses to use ai for their fics or their art, that is their choice. not something I agree with. but still not my business, and I will never condone harassment.
if anything, I think it’s better if these people feel comfortable enough to tag their stuff as ai, so that other people can avoid their works if they’re not comfortable with ai-generated contents.
that said, I think ai writers will stop tagging their stuff as ai entirely if people shame or harass them for it.
so now their stuff is still ai, just untagged, meaning there’s no way for others to know if it’s ai.
keep in mind that speculation, accusations and witch hunt harm genuine artists and writers as much as ai does, if not more.
so if you go to the “ai-generated” tag on ao3 just to harass people for using ai, just know that you’re not actually fighting against ai — you’re just being a bully and you’re also making people more wary of properly tagging their ai-generated works as such. so you’re just making sure they no longer tag their ai-generated stuff as ai. also you can be reported for harassment, and ao3 will not take your side. (whether or not you like it, ai-generated works are allowed on ao3, whereas harassment is not.)
the “ai-generated” tag on ao3 is there so people can either find or avoid works with ai (but in order for it to work, ai users must feel comfortable enough to be honest and tag their works properly, that won’t happen if people keep shaming and harassing them for it — the only thing harassment will do is make sure ai stuff go untagged, harassment doesn’t stop people from using ai).
the “ai-generated” tag is not there so that you can freely harass people with no consequences.
and make sure your comments are kind!!! “I love this so much!” and “this is amazing! I’m so excited for what happens next” are more likely to get your favorite fics updated than “when will we get the next chapter?”
me, whispering to the ao3 page of an author who wrote one life altering banger and nothing else: I hope your pillow is cool and your skin is clear and you find money in a forgotten jeans pocket
like, there's a lot to say about this genre, but the trucks, the sheer size of them, mostly being used to just drive around instead of being used for actual work, are so obscene to me
idk what it is or why it tends to happen so regularly, but I usually get next to no comments on my personal favorite chapters/scenes of any story I post, and it always bums me out, but there's not really anything I can do about that

Chapter 5 is up:
The sun, the moon, and the truth.
The truth. The truth. The truth.
“Hey, Sco—What the fuck?!” Stiles stops dead in his tracks, the door he just barged through still in his hand. “What the fuck? I’m hallucinating—please, tell me I’m hallucinating—are you—”
“Stiles? What are you…” Scott trails off, and then his heart rate spikes, but he doesn’t move aside from drawing the blanket higher over both of them, as if that would hide that Theo is in his bed.
Before anything else can happen, Liam shows up, clearly alarmed by Stiles’ outburst, and completes the worst-case scenario. “What is—Oh…”
“Oh? Oh?!” Stiles whips around to Liam. “That’s all you have to say? Oh?”
“Uhm, I mean… Yeah?”
“No!” Stiles shouts, his voice rising to earsplitting levels. “This is not an oh-situation! This is—” He whirls around again, zeroing in on Theo, “What did you do?”
