Literally so much shit going on and Zara's like 'ayyyy' #lovingit
He exhaled a short laugh at that. At least there was someone in this rehab that was able to turn their problem into a positive - even if it was just in a hypothetical sense. âIâm gonna stick by you then,â he stated. âIf there ever is some zombie invasion.â Charles leaned back into the cushion of the couch, folding his hands over his lap. âI donât know what thatâs about,â he commented. âI usually stay under a couple specific genres whenever Iâm watching movies.âÂ
Zara nodded, "It's..uhm.. basically softcore porn.. but whatever.." She dodged his eyes, another smile leaking onto her face, "I'm not even gonna see it...so.." She started giggling like crazy, "I really like RomComs, and dramas.. but I've got a special place in my heart for Psychological Thrillers!" She looked back at him, actually having the first enjoyable conversation since she had arrived, the first enjoyable conversation in a long while, actually. She paused, "How about you?"
"Oh yeah," Charles grinned, nodding his head in agreement. "Especially the first one? The parodies you could find on YouTube are arguably better than it is." Trying to keep the conversation set on a lighter tone, Charles murmured, "Never really been a big fan of vampires in general though. I always liked zombies best. Even though if a zombie apocalypse ever actually happened, Iâd be the first to give up."
Zara nodded, "You see, that's when Gould would come in handy! She'd like demolish all of them!" She smiled again, relaxing a lot, "In fact, I think I'd actually enjoy her doing all the work for me, there." She sighed, "And yeah, Twilight was terrible... but no way it's gonna be as bad as the new Fifty Shades of Grey movie..." Zara raised her eyebrow, asking herself why she had brought it up, but continuing to smile anyway.Â
Cara knew she shouldnât be mean to this poor broken girl.. she was a victim to her illness just like Cara. âYeah its fine..â she shrugged and looked down at her feet. In a way she wondered what it would be like to get to be a different person for a little while.. in fact there was nothing more she wanted recently than to be someone else.
Zara took another deep breath, sitting on the ground to recover from her quick metamorphosis. "Wh-What'd she do to you?" She asked, making sure that she knew all of the results of Gould's momentary triumph, she could remember some of it, but not all, her memory was fading quicker and quicker lately, she wondered if soon she wouldn't be able to remember anything from when her other personalities overcame her. She hoped that would never happen, she was losing control, quickly.Â
"And arenât you the psycho?" Cara snapped back, annoyed with this personas idea that she was somehow in charge. "Okay crazy, find any fucking door and open it. They all fuckin lead somewhere. Maybe if we are lucky you will get lost." Cara still thought it was funny there girls thought the word slut hurt her.
Gould pouted, âYou think Iâm a psycho?â Her upset look quickly morphed into a grin, as she gripped Caraâs shoulder and slammed her into the wall behind them. âYouâre fucking spot on, Crabby.â She chose the name based on the numerous diseases that she assumed Cara had, and the wonderful mood that they both seemed to be in. âNow give me fucking directions on how to get out of this hell hole, or Iâll do to you what I did to that fucking gay boy!âÂ
"Get. The. Fuck. Off." Cara yelled as she shoved the girls shoulders roughly. "How many times are you bitches gonna try to fuck with me until you realize that you are irrelevant to me?" the question was more to herself but none the less it was asked. Cara had about had enough of the names and the gossip and the physical altercations. It seemed as if everyone forgot she was a fucking person who was there to get better too. "you wanna get out then find a fucking way yourself, Im not your fucking tourist guide you ignorant bitch. And if you ever lay your hands on me again I swear to God.." she trailed off figuring she made her point well enough.Â
Gould stepped back, anger welling through her veins like it had every time she was allowed to see the world, that of course, was before a painstaking headache crashed into her. She clutched her head tight, growling loudly and mumbling, "Goddammit, Zara!" She doubled over in pain, finally giving up, since Zara had more control over her than she had over Zara, and let her force her back down into the crevices of her mind. Zara looked up at the girl, breathing a heavy sigh,. "I'm sorry..." was all she could manage.Â

"Sort of like the really fucked up way they made werewolves change into wolf form in Twilight?" Charles offered, encouraging smile starting to pull at his lips. His sisters had made him watch the series almost every weekend for at least two months and he figured it was a good enough way to get the conversation from turning any more serious. He wasnât sure what her limit was when talking about her condition, but Charles didnât want to risk pushing it. "But the Hulk is awesome too," he tacked on.Â
"Sort of.." She gave a tiny laugh and looked at the floor, "I never really got into those movies, I did see the first two with my friends back home though, before I got diagnosed." She grinned, "I thought they were shitty..." She clenched her fist, it felt wrong to smile right then, it felt wrong to smile at all. But, laughing seemed like fun, she hadn't done it in a while. So, Zara laughed, fully, Â genuinely, "I mean, didn't everyone?"
Cara had yet to deal with the personalities and in light of current events today was not the day to test her patience. âI dunno, a fuckin door maybe?â she asked back in annoyance, her eyes rolling as she looked over the much shorter brunette.
Gould's eyes were glowing with fury, as they always were, as she bit back a response, "Well, why don't you tell me which fucking one?" Gould's arms sat tight on her hips as she glared at Cara, she'd only known her from Zara's memory of the Group Therapy, and from a few words that others had spoken about her. Pinpointing a few of those words, Gould tilted her head and smirked, "Oh wait, aren't you the slut?"Â
Charles gave a few nods of his head as she spoke, more so to show her that she was listening rather than because he understood what she was saying. It was a hard thing to imagine. âSo how does it, like, uh - work?â He questioned after a brief pause, tilting his head slightly to the left. âEr, I mean, you keep saying you let them out?â Charles made sure to clarify, just in case his first question was somehow misconstrued as a joke. It wouldnât the first time his arrangement of words got him in a hole. âSo itâs like .. your choice? That they make themselves known around other people, or..â He let his voice trail off rather than trying to wrap up the question himself, patiently awaiting her answer.
"It's easier if I do what they want... which is let them out..." She shrugged, "But they are able to force themselves out if they want. It just hurts, a lot. Like my brain is...collapsing on itself." She held her head in her hands, "Like I'm literally turning into another person.." She chuckled halfheartedly, "I'm like the hulk.." Zara looked up at Charles, she seemed to be able to trust him. Why could she trust him?
Gould strutted down the hallway of the blue house in rampage, as usual. She was upset at how long Zara had held her captive, and was ultimately glad that she was out, although she had not really a clue how to get around the place she was in, or where the fuck she was going. She growled as Zara screamed in her head, but Gould didn't ask nicely for anything, from anyone, that's why when she saw Cara in the hall she grabbed her by the shirt, "Hey, bitch. Tell me how to get out of here!" She let go of her shirt before sticking her hands out and pursing her lips.Â
"I donât know what itâs like," Charles noted, shrugging his shoulders. "So I canât really say Iâm not keen on it. But. I mean, itâs gotta suck a little bit, right?â He wasnât sure if he was pressing too much, coming off as too judgmental when he hadnât the slightest idea what it was like to miss bits and pieces of your life because someone else was taking them in. At least not yet; his head had some time to fuck with him still. âI mean, if it got you here. It must - I donât know, like, be hard to deal with?âÂ
"Yes..." Zara said after being quiet for  a long while, "It does suck... and they're relentless.." She babbled, unsure why she was telling him all of this. "I mean, it starts out easy, right? It started with Gould, yelling at the back of my head, I thought she was just some guilty conscience, then, the  first time I ever let her out, Z followed suit trying to numb me out. And then I got really, really depressed after I was diagnosed, and..so... Zar came around to try and fix me." She sighed loudly, covering her face and regretting admitting all of that, "Obviously, it hasn't worked."Â
Paul rolled his eyes and looked at the floor. âDo you even know what youâre apologizing for? Or are those just empty words?â he said, trying to sound like he wasnât scared that she would flip out on him. He was angry, and he was hardly ever rude with anybody, but she hurt the one thing that could actually make him feel happy, the one thing that gave him hope.
She looked up at him, still trying to avoid his eyes, but  giving him a glance. She crossed her arms behind her, pouting a little, but not on purpose. "For going AWOL..." She whispered, but that wasn't the truth, but she didn't know how to apologize for the other thing without explaining her disorder, which she had done way too many damn times since she'd been here. "I promise," She said, having to at least give him some answer though, "I'm not crazy..."
Paul noticed the familiar girl making her way over and something in his mind went off as he remember what sheâd done to Sebastian. He hadnât seen her since it happened, but he definitely wasnât happy with her and wasnât really in the mood to be talking to her. âNot much, depending on how long youâve been in hiding,â he mumbled, crossing his arms across his chest. Paul refused to make eye contact with her or stand too close to her even.Â
Zara stared at the ground, this was... she couldn't remember his name, but he was Sebastian's boyfriend, and from the small flashback of what Gould had done to him, she knew there was no way that this boy could be okay with her. Especially if no one had explained anything to him...about Gould. "I'm sorry.." She grumbled, unsure if she meant it. "I haven't been able to think about much, honestly..." She tried to excuse herself, but she had nothing to say, there was no excuse. She had been afraid, afraid to come out, afraid to see people, even though she was lonely. She was still afraid. "I'm sorry.." She repeated, not remembering what she was apologizing for.
Journal Entry-One
This first week has been rough. I've tried to meet new people, but overall... I've succumbed to sitting alone in my room. Sometimes Alecia is there, but I don't talk to her. I'm not sure what to do anymore. All I ever hear is screaming, and I'm terrified someone else will come through. I don't need someone else. I don't even need the three I have. I'm scared that soon I'll be only one of many in this body. I'm losing control of Gould. She is crazy and wants to take my body from me, I don't blame her, I would too, if I were her. A pat of me can't wait for her to be gone, but another will miss her. Missing her and the others will be a strange feeling, but maybe not as bad as the screaming, and the loneliness. I'm still depressed.
-Zara
Zara left her room for the first time in awhile, after not speaking or doing anything much, her loneliness was eating at her, but she was tired and upset, and the girls had been screaming for days and days on end. She was unsure why her depression had increased so much recently, but she assumed it had to do with the fact that she knew no one, and wasn't 100% sure she wanted to, no matter how lonely. Zara went out into the common room, and said to the first face she saw, "So...what's been going on?"
Charles bounced the words in his head a few times, eyes minimally squinting as he tried to get a handle on what exactly that was defining. As she carried on explaining, he really only got more lost. âSo do they, er. Like, is it something that just happens or does it kind of depend on your mood?â He asked, his voice only a degree hesitant. Charles was never keen on making people expand on why they were admitted, considering he loathed it when he was asked. But he figured it was the best subject change in order to keep conversation from going back to what happened the night before.Â
Zara shook her head rapidly, "No, they're not like that. Sometimes, when I can't take it anymore, one of them comes out to help. Sometimes, they just want to, because they're tired of being bottled up in my head, Gould, especially." Zara looked at the floor, "I know you're not too keen on my disorder, but I promise it's not as weird as everyone thinks it is." At this moment Zara begged for a relief to her loneliness She gripped her fists tight looked at Charles, "They're people too..." She said, admitting it to herself for the first time.
