happy bday c!wilbur. you havent changed but i bet you wish you did
[image transcription: A comic centred around Tommy and Wilbur, and Wilbur’s inability to stop smoking + the observation those close to him make about him.
Tubbo: You’re being a bit of a dick, Wilbur; do you need a smoke? I have one if-
Wilbur: Tubbo, no! I don’t smoke anymore. I’ve already died once and I’m not going to waste this gift by smoking!
Tubbo: O-okay/
Wilbur: You shouldn’t carry those with you, Tubbo.
Tubbo: Okay, I’ll toss them.
[A new scene, showing Tubbo, Ranboo, and Tommy, sitting together with Michael.]
Tubbo: You hear that Wilbur’s stopped smoking? Made me throw out the stash and everything. He seemed quite serious.
Tommy: Ugh, I know! He’s all on his horse about it but it’s all bullshit, isn’t it.
Tubbo: What, don’t believe him? Wilbur’s never lied before (this is said sarcastically).
Tommy, missing the sarcasm: You do? It’d be nice but-
Tubbo: Nah.
Tubbo: I kept the stash.
Ranboo: You just keep those on you?
Tubbo: Yeah, LOL. Schlatt used to say he’d quit when he’d get a bad cough scare and get rid of ‘em and then start yelling at us the next day when he couldn’t find any. Habit, I guess.
Tubbo: Anyways. No point getting rid of them
[A panel showing Quackity and Wilbur smoking together, and then a panel of Wilbur once he realizes that Tommy has seen him smoking with Quackity.]
Tubbo: Because I reckon Wilbur won’t last.
Wilbur: Tommy - Tommy! Stop being a child about this. Come back.
Tommy: So what was all that about wanting to cherish life and be a new man about then?
Wilbur: I never said that. Besides - it’s just a friendly thing with Quackity.
Tommy: What is going on with you and Quackity, man?
Wilbur: Nothing! I never said I’d stop smoking anyways.
Tommy: You did!
Wilbur: Whatever - what’s the worst that happens? I die? Dream can just revive me again.
Tommy: You said “I’ve died once and I don’t want to die again.” That you’ve changed. But that was a fucking lie, wasn’t it?
Wilbur: You’re over-reacting, Tommy.”
[Wilbur hesitates putting out a cigarette, and then raises it to his mouth instead.]
Wilbur: Goddamnit.
[Wilbur sitting alone on a bench, lighting a cigarette.]
Wilbur: I don’t think I have changed after all. Fuck.] END ID
