South Park spin-off series on HBO Max?

Recently, I heard that there was a possibility that there could be some spin-offs of The Simpsons that could be produced for HBO Max. Since South Park is also a cultural icon, has a huge universe and has many characters that are served or underserved, an idea crossed my mind: what if South Park had spin-off shows that ran on HBO Max? With South Park heading to HBO Max next year and streaming platforms being a good place to put more niche, specialty and high-concept television programs, why not have South Park spin-offs that can be produced without having to worry about tooling a show for direct advertisers and wider demographics? One thing about these potential spin-off series is that it would allow Trey and Matt to still do South Park while also raking in even more money, expanding on the brand and not having to worry about writing, directing and in most cases, even voicing these spin-offs. HBO Max would be an ideal platform to run shows that could cover other characters and different concepts separately without compromising the show’s main timeline. I feel like this would make a lot of existing fans happy and attract new fans through alternative avenues that would lead them back to the original show. The type of content categories could also cover different narratives, such as full-length shows with the possibility of renewal, short-form series that could recur, limited series/miniseries, anthology, movies, specials, musicals and just about anything else in between. Here are some ideas for potential South Park spin-offs that could be run on HBO Max:

Prequel series with the adults as kids

President Garrison spin-off lampooning the craziness taking place in Washington, D.C.

Channel 4 News spin-off

Spin-off set in Canada (focusing on the Canadians, obviously)

Huntin’ and Killin’ spin-off with Jimbo and Ned

Mayor/city council spin-off

SPPD/Yates spin-off

Kindergarteners spin-off

Goth Kids spin-off

These are just some possibilities of South Park spin-off series that could be produced for a platform like HBO Max. These are just ideas and obviously don’t mean that every, some, few or even any of these concepts will be produced. That’s how I’ve felt for years, I’m probably one of their biggest supporters and they should have more prominence on the show. I’m not saying they should take over the show, no single character should, *cough* Randy *cough*, but we should see at least one or two of the girls rotating in to get a line of dialogue or even at least a somewhat important part of the plot in almost every episode. Regardless of what everybody thought of the plot with PC Principal and Strong Woman in tonight’s episode, everybody should be satisfied with and proud of what the girls accomplished tonight. I’d gladly let them teach me tabletop RPG and strategy games anytime. Oh, and by the way, it was revealed in the article about PC Principal’s whole tirade with “Heather” that his name is actually Peter Charles. One more thing: Heidi did show up in the crowd in the cafeteria (minus her hat) when Nichole, Tammy and Kelly Pinkerton-Tinfurter showed “Heather” who was really the best when it came to board games.

I don’t know about you guys, but I think that Trey Parker is becoming adult animation’s equivalent to Antonio Brown. Between the whole fiasco of him turning the legendary South Park into the train wreck known as Tegridy Farms, sidelining the kids that made the aforementioned show famous and making Randy Marsh, the aforementioned show’s most popular and well-known adult character into a morally-bankrupt, unethical, cold and pompous asshole, Trey’s clearly on a downward spiral due to his painful stubbornness and gargantuan ego, with all of this debauchery being multiplied and magnified by his own real-life personal problems, including his pending divorce and child custody battle. If Comedy Central were smart, they would tell Trey to get his shit together or get ready to pack up his stuff and go home. South Park, its fans, its crew, its characters and its legacy deserve so much better than the trash pile that its co-creator in charge of its creative affairs is turning into. Who agrees with me here?

This blog is on indefinite hiatus

Howdy fellow South Parkateers, I have made the decision to put this blog on indefinite hiatus due to Mod John’s departure from the Official Wiki and my own lack of time and opportunities to maintain and add on to the Official Wiki because of my real life full-time job that takes up most of my attention and energy. I would like to thank you all for supporting this helpful little blog and hopefully someday this place ends up being at least updated occasionally, but that’s probably unlikely unless I can find an heir to take care of both this blog and the Official Wiki itself.

Is it just me or could there be a certain burger tester from Colorado hiding out in the crowd here in the Love Live Finals?

you know there are so many people who were sick of heidi and cartman’s relationship because it was Not Funny and overstayed its welcome but honestly for me i think it’s one of the saddest character arcs to happen in the show and it really got to me

seeing heidi reflect on their relationship throughout the episode made me do it too and it just made me feel so damn sad

like you have this girl who feels alone and loses all her friends just because she quits twitter and apparently none of them bother to hang out with her in person i guess?? so she’s alone and then along comes eric cartman who she knows is a terrible person but she’s so desperate for interaction that she latches onto him (and vice versa). and at first their relationship was good! they talked about their feelings and he was seemingly supportive and kind and she didn’t feel alone anymore.

but then come this season and he’s sick of her because she’s allegedly annoying even though she just wants to talk to him and starts treating her like shit and then her friends treat her like shit for being in a dark enough place to get with him and they make her feel like an idiot so she thinks “ok guess i’m stupid and i deserve to be with someone like this” so she just..gets back with him even though she knows he’s manipulative and bad for her

and then she’s just so angry at everything that she just..becomes him. cartman convinced her that it’s okay to be a victim and she she finally has an outlet for all her anger. she can be mean to her friends who abandoned and ridiculed her, she can be mean to cartman who’s a piece of shit and she can tell him how she really feels. she can be mean to anyone she wants and it’s okay because she feels nobody cares about her.

and then this whole episode had her realizing that, hey actually, maybe she didn’t like who she’d become. she didn’t like being angry all the time and she didn’t like the fact that her boyfriend couldn’t give two shits about her. she didn’t like the fact that she allowed herself to become eric cartman - someone with a huge victim complex. heidi was absolutely a victim of cartman’s abuse but she also chose to direct her anger towards everyone else, but now she wasn’t about to allow herself to follow in his footsteps anymore. she wasn’t going to allow herself to continue to be terrible.

and like while the ending was good - she finally left his nasty ass and wasn’t going to allow him to manipulate her any further - it’s just still so sad how everything transpired. how she may still be alone since she basically destroyed her friendships with the girls and kyle and how the lasting effects of cartman may still be there.

idk. i really hope that next season we see heidi healthy and happy again

The correct term for those kinds of “fans” giving Heidi shit would be extremist Kyman shippers, who love nothing more than seeing anybody who gets in the way of their beloved ship suffer badly and fantasize about Cartman repeatedly mentally, physically, verbally, emotionally and sexually abusing Kyle, continuously degrading him for being Jewish and controlling every aspect of his life. For that reason, I can never see Kyman happening, Kyle just hates Cartman too much too have any respect for him, let alone entering a serious relationship. Furthermore, Candy will never happen for the same reasons that Kyman won’t ever be canon. Kyle’s sexual orientation may be open to interpretation in my opinion, but there is no way I would ever see him settling for being in a relationship with Cartman.

This would be such a great episode and a huge moment of redemption and achievement for the girls of South Park! If they get even with Cartman, there might just be a chance that we get to see more of them on a regular basis doing their own thing as soon as later this season! Who else thinks that this is an awesome concept and would want to see this happen? Words cannot properly describe just how much I love this idea and the prospect of getting to see even more of the girls of South Park on a routine basis! #DontFuckWithHeidi
