Announcement

We will be attempting to attract new members soon, once we figure out the PM situation (you'll need to wait 48 hours to "fan mail" someone, which is really quite ridiculous >.>). Finding out if we can FM (fan mail, private message, whatever xP) will take until tonight, so whether it does or doesn't work will determine what will be our main form of private messaging. We will try to get members on here from EP, possibly WO, and other sites of the type. This is the first organized Tumblr supernatural community so we hope this works out the way we want it to. Hopefully it grows. Thanks for reading!

Religion and Hidden World

Okay, I would like to say this now before a lot of people come, and this will be reblogged every once in a while to ensure this is seen.  Most, if not all, of the things the admins post will be from a pagan/spiritual point of view.  We are not religious.  But there is no problem if you are religious and you believe that God is the one true god and all that.  But if it gets to the point where you are going around telling everyone they are wrong because they don't believe what you believe (mainly saying that people are being possessed by the devil or something for coming up with a theory or maybe just asking what's going on with them) that's when we'll have a problem.  Really, so long as you're respectful everything should be fine, I just thought I'd put this out there since this always seems to be a huge problem in some way or another.

Therians and Therianthropy

Therian: A human that has a spirit of an animal

No matter what you think a Therian is, that definition above is exactly what it is.  Therians do not physically shift (change form) because they are unable to do so.  Therianthropy is much more spiritual than it is physical.  Therians can range from wolves to lions to even little mice, it really doesn't matter.  But one thing does stay consistent, the animal in which a therian has a connection to almost always has a separate name from them.  

Therians are generally able to connect to their spirit animals through meditation and dreams.  They can have connections to more than one animal, but usually there is only one.  The most common Therian you will find is a Wolf Therian (one that has a wolf spirit) mainly because wolves are very social creatures and they do reach out to find others like them just as a wolf would.

Unlike what most therians think, they cannot physically change their form.  Therians are HUMANS they barely count as something supernatural but what makes them count as supernatural is the ability they seem to have to perform shifts that relate to the mind.  Things just as "mental shifts" where they basically exchange consciousness with their spirit animal and that animal mentality takes over.  There is also the concept of the "Phantom shift" where they feel phantom limbs (such as tails, ears, etc.). 

Some therians tend to act out in a way they believe their spirit animal would, but that's something to beware of.  Although you may feel such a connection with your spirit animal you live in a world dictated by humans.  Acting out on these urges too much will get you in trouble.

How to Become A Member

There are a few requirements that we ask of members before we could consider you to be one. Be warned, admins have the right to reject applications and to ask more questions if they feel it is needed.

1. You have to be a supernatural creature of some kind.  If you do not know if you are a supernatural creature or not, please contact an admin and list the things you believe makes you a supernatural being.

2. You must state your reason for wanting to become a member.  Be it just because you want people with common interests to talk to you or you want to teach and/or learn something, just state it. 

3. All interested must contact admins separately.  So one person cannot contact us for 2 other people, especially if they have a tumblr account of their own.

4. Preferred (may one day be required) for applicants to have access to a way to chat (will be specified later) that will most likely be done through a chatting website.

Rules

As all communities do, we have rules.  These rules may be subject to changes as time goes on.  

1. Be respectful.  Everyone has different opinions and this page will be subject to both facts and theories alike.  

2. Admins have the final say in all disputes.  Repeated offenses will get you kicked.  You will have 3 warnings depending on the severity of what you have done.

3. No personal disputes will be posted here for all to see.  It is called a "personal dispute" for a reason.  If you have too much trouble trying to solve it, come to any of the admins and we'll take care of it.

4. Be mature.  Despite the fact that this group will probably have people of varying ages, we do expect a level of maturity to come from our members.  

5. Keep foul language in line.  We don't mind some swearing or statements that are a little graphic, but as this group is open to those of all ages, please keep cussing and such to a minimum.

6. No excessive posts/spamming

7. All fakes, trolls, etc. (if they manage to get past the sort of interview phase before becoming a member) will be kicked without warning.  If anyone suspects someone to be a fake, you will be asked to contact an admin with your reasonings and proof.

8. All members must have replies enabled so that everyone can reply

My Introduction

I'm an admin here and the creator of this community Hidden World, along with Celestria. This was originally a place to get away from the EP bullshit, but now I think the goal is mostly to create a Tumblr supernatural community because there really isn't a good one or even much of a standing one. If you want to follow, go ahead. If you want to become a member, preferably ask me on my primary blog blueroseneko or let Celestria or Trothar know. Include your email address because that will send a confirmation message and a link you'll need to click in order to become a member. After you become a member, post away! However, there are rules in order to become a member. That will be posted later. Next, whenever you make a post, use the tags dimenticata, spnhiddenworld, and your username. Thank you! ~Neko
