To be honest when I logged into tumblr this week again and read your message I cried a little because I had a really hard day at work and then your message was so nice, and then the next day I felt really good because I had your words with me, so thank you. Maybe fandom can seem silly to other people but isn't it great that we are still connected in some way after 10 years because of a BBC Sherlock adaptation and get each other through hard days? most start trek aliens wear very modest fashions so the special effects don't have do the make-up other than the hands, neck and face - which just makes sense, imagine the added cost of making more prosthetics just so they can have cleveage or whatever. so nothing shocked me more in discovery than saru going shirtless. i wasn't prepared for this as an option. he was asking michael to kill him and everything and i was like man i can't believe this *squinting to see if he has nipples* man how many hours did that take
