        HARRY OSBORN. gayle remembered when she used to babysit him. most of the time she only did it because the pay was good ( – but also, she was allowed to bring mj; at the time, she did anything to get her little sister out of that god-forbidden house ). her blue-green eyes gazed around the office. it was new, almost sparkling with… NO PERSONALITY. somebody wasn’t happy with his situation. still, she couldn’t help but be a bit jealous. he did nothing and got ALL OF THIS. she worked so hard to dance and – made a lot of choices that led her away from that path. “ it’s real nice to see you too, harry. i see nothing’s changed. still an attitude, floppy hair – is that a chocolate bar at the end of your desk?? ” she asked, moving forward to sit on the arm rest of one of the many empty chairs in the room.

       THERE WAS A FAINT GRIN on his lips, clear blue orbs peering at the older women. he hadn’t imagined ever seeing her again. her, mary jane, peter --- once his father had SHIPPED him off to boarding school, harry had been lost. no one had ever wanted him. his ‘friends’ at his school only desired to around him because of his MONEY and his name. oh, to be an osborn. what an honor. BULLSHIT. the damn family was cursed. and his dad had passed that curse down to him. people liked to see the outside because it was pretty. harry wasn’t very pretty on the inside anymore. “oh, of course not. everything’s perfect as can be in life.” and if his tone was dripping with sarcasm --- he couldn’t help it. “actually, i can do my OWN hair now. blow dry it and every thing like a big boy. and it might be. live while you’re young, right?? so tell me, gayle. what brings you to oscorp??”

   “i hear your a GOOD fighter. and before you start the questions, let me stop you right there. i have ways of finding information.” after all, he WAS the one that had a little plan set in place for spider-man should he ever have that desire. but with the goblin gone, he saw no reason to hurt someone he had once called his best friend.”you see, i’m after a new body guard. my last one sort of DIED, sadly enough. it pays well. good benefits. and, well, you’ll be working for oscorp.”

   he doesn’t MEAN to be an asshole. it’s more along the lines of needing to project that attitude as a means to shield himself. ( rich bitch osborn. that’s who he was, right?? ) when his assistant had informed him of a ‘gayle’, he’d given the okay to bring her up. it was a new office since the last one had been a bit DESTROYED. a little bit by him, sure. mostly by electro. legs kicked up on the desk, harry leaned back in the over sized chair. it’d be years since he had seen gayle. he’d been about --- six, the last time she had babysat him. and here he was now. twenty-one years old, ceo of oscorp and MENTALLY UNSTABLE. “been quite a long time since i last saw you. i’m surprised.”

      “i don’t think it’s necessarily selfish to be enjoying this. honestly --- i’m going to enjoy myself as well for as long as it lasts.” though harry wasn’t exactly the type that helped people. at least, not when the green goblin had first taken over. he was better now. ( a lie he liked to tell himself. ) “what sort of power did you have??”

Matt hadn’t even opened his eyes before he immediately noticed how unusually quiet everything was. Normally, when he first woke up from sleep, there would be an overwhelming few seconds where every one of the smallest sounds within a five mile radius would swarm him, before he focused and managed to block out all the ones that were unwanted. Yet this time, there wasn’t a single sound to be heard, which caused for his eyes to snap open; and when he found that for the first time since he was nine years old, he could actually see when he opened his eyes, he let out a startled cry. This was impossible. There was no way that this could be real. Closing his eyes again, he reopened them to find that he could still see just as clearly as he had a moment ago. Laughing in disbelief, Matt jumped up from his bed and went straight to the window. He could see the street outside and all of the people walking along it. Matt Murdock was no longer blind; he could see as well as he had before the accident that had changed his entire life. With the return of his sight had come the loss of his heightened other senses, but right now, Matt couldn’t bring himself to mourn for that loss. Not yet. Right now there was too much joy inside of him due to this impossible turn of events. It took him a moment to hear the knock at his door, and after pulling on a t-shirt and a pair of shorts, he made his way to answer it, the ghost of his disbelieving laugh from a moment ago still on his face in the form of a grin. “What can I do for you?” Matt said after he had pulled the door open

With his mind now just his own, Harry was going to take complete advantage of that and do things that would otherwise be a bit...difficult with the monster that had taken root in his mind. He liked to distinguish between himself and the Goblin. ( they were two separate beings.) His company was the first thing on his ind while he had full control over himself. Harry had only recently been released from Ravencroft ( a mental institution ) after his first little bout as the Green Goblin. Part of it was due to his influence as an Osborn, and other parts were due to the fact that he could appear like he was sane even when he was the exact opposite at times. Oscorp still belonged to him after he had dealt with the people that had undermined him, but there was always the concern that something like that would happen again. That was where lawyers came in, right?? Harry glanced over the man before him once the door was open. So this was the infamous Matthew Murdock. “I heard you’re a good lawyer,” he stated simply. “I’m curious how good you are whenever it comes to business contracts and whatnot. You see, I own a company and I’ve ran into a few problems in the past with people trying to take it from me because they think I’m too young to run it. I want to know if it’d be easy for someone to do that again, legally or illegally wise, if the CEO was, say --- labeled as a bit UNSTABLE. And how I could stop it with legal means.”

pepper nearly doubled over as she looked at her arm that was currently metal. all she had done was touch the railing as she walked down the stairs out of her apartment. waving it, she prayed that it would go away but here it still was, “this has got to be some sort of nightmare or joke.”

harry wasn’t complaining about this new turn of events. he was free from the claws of the green goblin in his head. his thoughts were his own again, the paranoia and everything else that had come from the monster inside his head had vanished. he was more than happy by all of this. “you know, it might be a good thing to check out that arm.”

aaron blinked, glancing around as he was suddenly released from hive’s control. after a moment of processing what had happened, he cursed and punched at a lamppost, jumping back slightly in surprise when it bent under his hand. “what the fuck?”

“you know, i wouldn’t be so surprised,” the young male drawled out as he watched the scene unfold. “people these days are always so full of surprises with these little abilities. it seems to be normal now.”

Kate sat in the cafe, fingers tapping the table. Her coffee was ready and she got up to grab it before sitting back down. Realizing she left her muffin. Groaning, she was sore and getting up seemed like a chore. She trained last night and her ass got beat. Reaching out her arm, waving her hand, she groaned, “Mmm I don’t want to get up, but I want the food. Muffin. Please.” Standing up in pain she felt something hit her in the face. “What the–” The muffin hit her in the face. “Did you throw that?”

The young male sipped at his coffee, eyes flickering over the computer screen in front of him. With his mind clear for the first time since he had injected himself with the spider venom, his mind was CLEAR. The Goblin was silent, and there was no internal fight for control every second. It was, honestly, a relief. Eyes flickering up from the screen from a moment, he saw an object flying across the room. As his eyes traced it, they landed on the girl that it hit, an eyebrow quirking with interest. And really --- it was hard not to laugh. “Please, I think I’m a little more mature than that. If you want to know so badly, I’m pretty sure you’re the one that moved it.”

yelena stood in the middle of the sidewalk as she watched what had just happened, as she had shoot a bout of electricity from her fingers. the shock had stopped her from moving or processing what had just happened, “what in the world just happened?”

well, well. now wasn’t that a blast from the past. harry could still remember his desperation when he had sought out electro for help. his company had been taken from him, he had slowly been dying, everyone had abandoned him. who wouldn’t become desperate in that situation?? “looks like you got a little special something there. you know --- i used to know a guy who could do something like what you just did. good friend.”

holly had discovered the newest oddity by pure accident. she’d gotten excited, which suddenly turned to shock when flowers fell from her palms like magic. that’d been almost half an hour ago, and she was now hidden in a darkened alley, flowers all around her feet.

not something a person saw every day. when one thought of a darkened alley, they thought of dead ends, thugs waiting in the dark, trash littered everywhere. not flowers. “well --- that’s something new,” he remarked. “fun little trick you got there.”

Peter crawled his way to the nearest couch because it was too embarrassing to have a discussion with his best friend from the floor. He called himself Spider-Man but that was the first time he actually felt like a bug. He braced himself to keep his body still ‘cause the shards of glass penetrated his skin with every breath he took. 

He was absolutely speechless at the confession. That what he was coming here for but he thought they would tip toe around the subject for a while and then simply say they liked each other. Hearing Harry say those words only to be followed by hurtful ones was more painful than any of the injuries he had. “You can’t, Harry,” Peter said looking down at the floor “You’re barely holding it together, man. Look at you, I needed to protect you. I couldn’t-I’m sorry, but you can’t handle yourself. You need help. I didn’t want to add more problems to an already long list.” he sighed and looked up at Harry for the first time “But for what it’s worth I’m in love with you, too.”

The rational part of him knew that he should help Peter with his wounds right now, but Harry was just so angry. He didn’t want to feel like this. It wasn’t like him to feel this angry, but he wasn’t thinking straight. His head wasn’t on right, and hearing his dad comment on every little thing wasn’t helping either right now. What the hell was wrong with him? So much. Oh, god there was so much wrong with him bu he couldn’t even face that. 

Harry’s eyes went wide when he heard what Peter said, expression falling. He was always so strong, so put together around other people, but with Peter it was always different. He could be himself and let his emotions be shown because Harry wasn’t judged by his best friend. But right now---.”You’re joking, right? I can handle myself just fine!” He shouted, hands clenching into tight fists. “I don’t---I don’t need help. I’m fine. I. Am. Fine.” Harry turned his head away, blue eyes filling with pain. “---but you’re not going to do anything about it, are you?”
