Hey it me!
Adrien at his father's funeral, weathering the storm of nosy condolences and false sympathy, staring blankly at the stage and repeating with an air of detachment
"My father's casket is empty."
Ducktales BAU animatic
Joy its done! I spent too long on this and it’s a little not lore accurate but it’s fine ^^
Webby comic for my Ducktales backstabber AU •v•
The Duck Who Didn’t Like Musicals
when you get sucked into an show that ended 4 years ago again?? anyways heres a short little ducktales animatic :)
I’ve finally decided to post this so
Ducktales Backstabber AU!
The triplets + Webby character designs
Gabriel describing Emilie as "prone to fits of drama" (as a way to put down Adrien by comparing him to her) and Amelie saying he "ruined [her] poor sister's life." Gabriel's possessive love of Emilie leading to him keeping her in the basement post mortem.
Gabriel was always abusive. It wasn't just after Emilie died. We have more than enough evidence that he emotionally abused Emilie as well. That doesn't erase that Emilie contributed to Adrien's abuse (isolating him, wearing his amok at all times, justifying his father's neglect in the flashback from s6). It just adds context to her character.
Emilie was abused as a child by her father, married a man who proceeded to emotionally abuse her (unfortunately very common), and contributed to the abuse of her son. If the show focused on this more rather than just hinting at Gabriel's abuse of Emilie, then they could do something really powerful about generational trauma and the vulnerability child abuse survivors face in the dating world.
Edit: Gabriel said Adrien was "way too overly dramatic" in the dub and "extremely sensitive" in the og French. Thank you @fallmyfeathers /gen!!
I LOVE DUCKTALES
You used to be a big deal Scrooge!!! Pre-grand nephews hehehe
It's insane how the show tries to potray Émilie as a good mother
I think I’m going to forgot how to draw people if I continue only drawing Ducktales characters. What does a normal human head look like again?
Mirrors
reblogging this cuz
Slightly rushed drawing of the kids enjoying their summer :3
OK SO EXPLAINATION IF YOU WANT TO READ:
ok so you might be wondering why the triplets all look different….
Number one: you’re lowkey right. My fault. But I just can’t imagine Huey as blonde for some reason I can’t lie.
Number two: It’s this huge headcanon I have after that one scene in the season 2 finale where the kids are shown to be parallels of adults in their family. I thought it was super cute and wanted to incorporate those in my designs. I KNOW it’s inaccurate, I DONT CARE. I draw…. for joy…. Anyway, yes because Dewey is a ginger I think Donald is too. It’s funny, and my friend suggested it. I also feel like they would have super similar faces so Scrooge (and anyone else not paying attention) wouldn’t notice anyway.
Huey: Looks like cousin Fethry, and I would imagine their unnamed father? (Brunette)
Louie: Looks like Scrooge, Della, and Gladstone (Blond)
Dewey: Looks like Donald (Ginger LMAO)
Webby: Looks like Scrooge for obvious reasons.
Pausing this show to read the text is always rewarding
annoying little brother things
huey will not be doing any reading on his watch
im so ill thinking about chat blanc because chat noir has never had a problem fighting hawkmotj, hes the bad guy, hes evil, hes brave when fighting him
but. when he finds out its his father, hes afraid of him, backing away and begging him to stop, to leave him alone, he didnt even have the courage to cataclysm him (while that could also being that its his father but. still)
adrien is more afraid of his father than of hawkmoth
adrien finds a man that has authority over him more terrifying than a man who literally has super abilities and attacks him everyday
