Gender is so fucked

I wish I were a girl, I really do, but hell if the dysphoria trying to present that way doesn’t knock me down

I wish I were a boy, genuinely, but again, dysphoria

I’m nonbinary, and I can’t change that, no matter how hard I try to fit into a perfect binary box

It would be so much easier if I were binary, truly

Or even human to begin with

But I need to accept who I am, an enby, and a creature of my own rights

Maybe one day the world will make me feel like being myself is okay. Maybe. I hope.

Having chronic nightmare disorder is fucking wild. Like yes I just fought for my life several times over and woke up shaking and feeling like I hadn’t slept a single minute, but hey it’s time for work, gotta get ready and go now.

Every day.

But hey maybe I can turn them into stories, something worth the struggle. With how niche and disturbing the scenarios are it might make for some good content.

They’re partially the reason I started getting into the horror genre, to get used to it and experience success in those sorts of situations. It’s working a bit. I’m getting better at saving myself now that I know different ways that characters save themselves in movies and games. I feel like over the course of the years that I’ve gained a fighting chance in my nightmares.

The horror genre never made the nightmares worse, by the way. Only gave me methods of saving myself. It was the worst when I was a kid and teen who couldn’t stand the thought of touching that content. I would be paralyzed in fear in my dreams, unable to move and just would wake up screaming when I’m getting attacked.

I’ve sought treatment for this, but no medication has worked for more than a single night. Docs don’t know what to do about it, but hey, maybe I can turn it into something useful.

If you have chronic nightmare disorder and have any tips on at least getting a semi-full nights rest, I’d be happy to hear about them.

somebody apparently tried to get the Wikipedia page for discrimination against trans men deleted entirely because of the use of the word "transandrophobia". y'all are part of a fucking extremist hate group at this point. it's pride month and the government is killing us and you're actively trying to destroy documentation about trans people's discrimination? really? how fucking evil do you have to be to do this shit?
