i love infinite jest and its fans but there’s a very specific subset of readers who are really insufferable and mean for no reason and talk like they’re personally narrating the book for no reason. and it’s not the stereotypical performative men one may think of but it’s actually just pseudo-intellectual rude people on here and reddit. saw someone complain that there’s nobody to engage with in this fandom because all people seem to care about is the homosexual undertones of the tennis players, which is just not true at all. maybe start your own conversation about how deep the book is if you’re gonna be a dick to other people for wanting to talk about what they like. you’re not better than others just because you acknowledge that it’s OOC for pemulis and hal to get physical—you’re just being a dick to people who share your interest for no reason and come off as a contemptuous, pompous loser. :-/

I was going to make an animatic with the "I wish you were born a girl" song, but then I remembered "you, me and Steve" and I was curious if the girls who made that song made more random music and yes, they have like 50 stupid songs 😭, I listened to them ALL, it's addictive. And yes when I listened to gay boyfriend, it clicked, it was perfect
