Having watched the mess of an attempt at reloading, she was surprised the man had been able to stay alive as long as he had. The raids in this city were never very forgiving of mistakes. But he was a cloaker, much like herself, so he must be somewhat good despite what her eyes could see. “Well then, genius. Pay more attention. You’re going to run into a wall at this rate.”
cloaker <3
cloaker: ya…yamete wolf senpai!
I forgot that Medic won’t heal Cloaker.

Joy exhaled, shaking her head. “At least one person has found out about the terrible pickup lines I wrote for someone.” the hacker replied dully, trying not to think about what Spook could possibly make her recite off the top of her head. “That was… fun to explain to ‘em. Told me to just fucking be straightforward about it, but I ain’t risking that with the line of work in question we have.”
“Pickup lines... Were they really dorky? I bet they were. All pickup lines are dorky.” In fact, everything about Joy screamed dorky so it was no surprise. It was oddly adorable and provided Spook with some laughs, even if it was at the girl’s expense. But right now she was busy trying to figure out who this person could be. Perhaps some encouragement might cause a name to slip? “I’d say go for it. Soon we’ll either all be dead or you’ll be free. Can’t go too badly, surely.”
//adding a couple tags: on the record - not working as a heister. either before the mission or not at the safehouse/on a heist. in the latter, no one knows she’s working with the gang, except the heisters, but she will act like she doesn’t know them and get very passive aggressive. would be referred to by either her real name or her nickname. off the record - working as a heister. either at the safehouse or on a heist. prefers to be referred to as spook to avoid her identity being spoiled. any cops/gensec officers will not know it is her even if they know her off the job.
@vape-x-mirrors liked for a starter.
That was him. There was no mistaking it. The sickly, dying man in front of her was the most wanted and mysterious man in all of DC. It’d be a lie to say she wasn’t a little disappointed. “So, you’re the infamous Bain. When I imagined meeting you, I pictured you behind bars. What a turnabout this is.”
“Tart is a good dessert!!“
//Anyway, who wants a starter???
//okay but. Since Garrett is kiiinda a big part of Spook’s story he might make an appearance in threads occasionally or upon request. Just so ya know.
Hc: Garrett & Spook
When Spook initially joined the FBI she was rather young and out of place, having been stationed in Boston away from home. Though she was fully qualified, it wasn’t uncommon for people to view her as little more than a novice and just babysitting duty. The one person who completely respected her as an agent was Garrett. They grew to have a mutual, friendly respect for each other, Garret having eventually become a sort of father figure to her. Though she eventually moved to Spec Ops, she kept in contact with him when she had a chance. When Garrett moved to DC roughly a year after her transfer to the cloaker program, she took it upon herself to assist him as much as she could. This trust and respect eventually led to her secret mission to assist the gang in taking down the Kataru.
Hc: zeal
Spook’s been a part of the cloaker program since Hoxton broke out. When the Homeland Security division started up, Spook was eligible and offered a job, but she chose to stay in the FBI division knowing that Garrett could use all the help he could get.

“The only thing I’m hiding is whatever romantic feelings that exist for an ahem crewmate and other files that I’ve requested Locke to dispose of via water bath should I kick the bucket.”
Joy blinked for a second, then picking back up her trail of thought.
“Oh, and about a metric fuckton of ‘subtle’ graphic t-shirts. Ugh.”
What kind of files could this little hacker possibly have that she wants erased in a worst case scenario? Oh, Spook was definitely going to have a crack at finding them later.
She skipped past the t-shirt thing, deciding she’d probably prefer not to know what horrible clothes the girl had, and chose to latch on to the first statement. “Now it looks like I definitely have to bother you. Romance brewing in the Payday gang? I’ll need to put that in my file.” By ‘file’, she means ‘private information for personal use’. She was never one to respect others’ privacy.
how do you feel about the fact people change the interference sounds for cloaker equipment to things like random anime girls and bass boosted music
The bass boosted music she thought of as rather stupid. But the anime noises... Yeah. She definitely did not like that.“The next time any of those low lives hear a cloaker yelling onii-chan, it’ll be me about to kick their ass.”
