Chains had figured it out after the first few times Byron had dropped by the safehouse, after he’d actually opened his goddamn ears and had LISTENED. The whole charade had been about as convincing as it would have been if Chains had suddenly decided to become a faceless voice behind some computers and expected absolutely no one to figure out it was him.

It wasn’t made out to be a big deal. Hell, Chains didn’t even call the dude out on it. He went about like everything was fine fine fine, yes sir, fine o’ rooney. Frankly, it was Chains ways of reigning down some HELLA passive-aggressive f u r y by KNOWING the shit he did and not cluing anyone in on the fact that he knew it.
