Wanted to drop this in your box to say how much you accidentally got me back into Homestuck and Dualscar. Tide's folly got me inspired to do my own little fic/possible webcomic with an oc and Dualscar in the works. And Cronus unfortunately, it's an odd thing of I can't just like one because they are the 'same' person at the core, just very different lives. Cronus just not living long enough to learn to hide his pathetic impulses, I think Dualscar is just the same but it's all internal that he has a handle on most of the time. Both being very prideful, self serving, but cruelly intelligent to get what they want. Even if Cronus doesn't know how to use it properly.
Idk I accidentally gave the oc(s but it is just the same oc just pre- and post-) an "I'll meet you in every universe (threat/codependency)" and it has devoured my brain at work. Thank you for being so cool and epic feeding the life boat of Dualscar's enjoyers.

TIDE'S FOLLY & FOLLY'S TIDE WITH MY SHITTY WIPS ( Veriya's reincarnation loops and Dualscar's paradoxical soul loop)
After Tide's Folly, Dualscar's and Veriya's destined death - they reincarnate a few times, and in those lives they're destined to find each other - and, well, die again lol. He usually dies first and she second, echoing their first life as Cronus and Veriya on Alternia. This is supposed to be the second story, Folly's Tide.
In some variations he kills her first and other, she kills him and so on.
This repeats until the last life, where the cycle ends - she moves forwards, while he goes backwards, in a sense. Goes back into B!Cronus' body.
I thought hard what kind of character development he'd have and it was to be based around remembering their past lives and being humbled.
But na I dropped the reincarnation thing, it felt like an overkill and Tide's Folly will take me a long time to write anyway, maybe I'll revisit the idea of Folly's Tide in my 40's, who knows!
