Inanna.
The ancient Sumerian Queen of Heaven, chose to descend into the underworld. A journey not of death but of transformation.
As she passed through seven gates, she was stripped of her titles, power, beauty and forced to surrender every layer of her identity. By the time she stood before her sister Ereshkigal, the Queen of the Underworld, she was completely exposed.
Raw.
Vulnerable.
Reborn through surrender.
Her story is a reminder that true power isn't found in our status or what we possess, but in what remains when everything else is taken away.
The descent is the shadow journey we all face. The death of the old self before the emergence of something deeply authentic. Nothing is gained without sacrifice, for there is always a price to pay.

An Ode to Donyale Luna
Donyale Luna was not simply a model, she was a vision drifting through the dreamscape of the 1960s. Born Peggy Ann Freeman in Detroit, she transformed herself into something otherworldly.
Through the lens of Richard Avedon, she became both muse and myth and in 1966 she stepped on to the cover of British Vogue, quietly shattering barriers as the first Black model to do so. Moving in the surreal orbits of Salvador Dalí and Andy Warhol, she existed where art, fashion and rebellion blurred into one. Often cited as the first Black supermodel, Luna did more than break rules, she dissolved them. Expanding the boundaries of beauty and carving out space for Black women in an industry that had not yet imagined them there.

Sleep Paralysis - Editorial Curation
An exploration of the harrowing fear and quiet dread of sleep paralysis.
Where the body is frozen, yet the mind is forced to witness what it cannot escape.
A space where shadow feels oppressive, and the line between nightmare and reality dissolves.
