Warning ⚠️ Some of what I'm about to bring up may be considered as *Spoilers* I personally don't but I'm sure some will so just keep that in mind before going forward..
Let me start off by saying I enjoyed 'Longlegs' I actually enjoyed it quite a bit but this movie is definitely not for everyone so if you are going into it thinking you will be watching Silence Of The Lamb or Seven 2.0 you will be sad mistaken and probably end up hating the film.
Longlegs is a bizarre slow burn film about a serial killer calling himself Longlegs (Nicolas Cage) that appears to have the ability to kill his victims without ever getting his hands dirty sort of speak (Mansion type killings). FBI Agent Lee Harker (Maika Monroe) is assigned to investigate these unsolved murders that may or may not involve the occult. Agent Harker also discovers she may have a personal connection to the killer.
Nicolas Cage doesn't have a ton of screen time in the film but boy he is killing it when his character is in a scene. This has to be one of the most crazy insane performance I have ever seen from any major actor. I say he gives a brilliant performance but if you are not a Cage fan you will probably disagree with me big time.
Maika Monroe does a great job as the troubled Agent Lee Harker but I have to mention the fantastic performance Blair Underwood gives as Agent Carter, who is Agent Lee's superior officer and the driving force behind the investigation of Longlegs. Rounding out the main cast is Alicia Witt who gives a good performance as Ruth Harker, Agent Lee's very odd religious mother.
Like I said at the beginning Longlegs is a slow burn very bizarre at times drama. I definitely recommend checking it out but just remember the film is not a fast pace thrill ride and it's very important to pay attention at all times because you will be scratching your head at the end of the film if you don't lol
9 out of 10 Severed Thumbs 👍🏻 And That My Friends Is The Bottom Line
It's definitely not for everyone but if you are into these types of films I think you will enjoy it.

Uh oh a lot of film critics are trashing Gary Dauberman's Upcoming film adaptation of
Stephen King's Salem's Lot. Calling the film Soulless heartless nonsense and questioning King's taste in movie's because King has been raven about the film on Twitter (X) for months and months now and demanding WB's to release the picture on MAX after the studio cancelled the flick's theatrical release back in 2022.
Anyways I never ever let critics determine what films I watch because 90% of the time I end up loving movies they hate while hating the movies they label as must see. Anyways as some of you know I have called Stephen King the Kevin Smith of the horror genre because King seems to love every new horror film.
Oh well I'm definitely going to check the movie out on October 3rd all I ask for is a fun horror movie it doesn't have to blow me away just be fun and please for the love of god don't be another film only made for the sole purpose to push someone's (writer, director) political agenda.
BTW was it just me or did anyone else think some of the special effects in the trailer look like horrible CGI from the early 2000's?
A new trailer for 'Late Night With The Devil' has been released via IFC Films and Shudder. The film will hit theaters (limited) March 22 with a Shudder release coming April 19th.
Apparently Stephen King and Kevin Smith are both in love with the film butttt let's be honest here. King and Smith pretty much cream their pants over any film these days. Listening to these two rave about a film is like listening to a male porn star rave about how big his ding-a-ling is. Anyways
The plot centers around 1977 a live television broadcast goes horribly wrong, unleashing evil into the nation's living rooms... 😮
Cast: David Dastmalchian, Laura Gordon, Ian Bliss and Fayssal Bazzi
Written and Directed by Cameron Cairnes and Colin Cairnes
Runtime: 93 Minutes
The film is Rated R for violent content, some gore, and language including some sexual reference

Watched 'Barbarian' the other night with my wife. I've been hearing a lot of good things about this flick some calling it the best horror thriller of the year.
After watching the film I thought it was just okay definitely nothing special. The plot borrows way to much from flicks like Don't Breathe and Wrong Turn and really doesn't offer anything original. But don't get me wrong Barbarian is entertaining enough to at least give it a watch. 🤷
