i wonder if im a bad friend for just going "well your mom aint here" when my friend gets anxious about doing something her mom wouldn't allow. nothing crazy, its stuff like... her mom wouldnt let her eat fried food. and we're in college so im like. uh. well girl she aint here i think you can just... do whatever you want? i dont know whats holding you back? i mean my parents weren't as controlling of what i eat because i often forget to, so me eating at all is awesome, so that might be some kinda divide somewhere? i just dont get it? hey girl. you have free will. you know that... right?

It feels like a convoluted form of infantilization of disabled people. Oh, I can watch a horror movie but can't read the word fuck? I can watch R-rated films, but I can't read the word shit?

It's one of two things:

1. It's deliberate infantilization of disabled people.

or 2. The puritanical impulses of American society are SO Fucking Off the Goddamn Walls at this point that most able bodied people can't recognize the cognitive dissonance of a film saying fuck but not letting the same exact adult audience read the word fuck.

You ever think about how old people have no idea what “survivor bias” is, and take full credit for being excellent out of things where they lucked out?
