likes < reblogs
so i drew this yesterday for my sanders side sideblog! you should check it out!!
i drew myself for the last week of mermay!!!
“reblogs aren’t important you’re just whiny”
yeah because when you see this
tell me you don’t get annoyed.
tumblr’s algorithm only cares about posts that are reblogged, it doesn’t count likes. posts don’t get promoted or circulated when they only have likes (the way instagram functions), only reblogs matter for increasing reach on tumblr as a platform.
support content creators.
like y'all are fuckin killing tumblr (& content creation) but okay
you think that’s not a lot of notes? that’s cute.
but yeah, tumblr’s system definitely doesn’t advantage non-popular artists, but there’s a big problem from within the community too. i have over 400 followers and i consider myself lucky when more than 2 people reblog my art, so imagine how much worse it is for people with even less followers.
reblog content creators, guys. liking posts doesn’t do anything.
When you reblog a post, you share its content with other people. That’s what the whole point of social media is. Content creators don’t post their creations for the sake of wasting time. They wanted to share it with the world. Always help them (especially the smaller ones) because it means more to them than you think.

may i offer you a simple space gay in these trying times?

Roman and Remus in those classic barbershop quartet outfits. thank you for your time
done and done.
please don’t tag as dukedontlook or tw remus
so i was rewatching the new episode
and i just noticed that when roman sank out, thomas stepped back and i had a horrifying thought. the sides don’t sink out, they melt and then thomas’ carpet absorbs them
reblog the full version, cowards

nocturnenebula:
EDIT: This post is inclusive to ALL art forms.
Likes can only go so far for artists. Artists may exclusively upload their artwork to tumblr, or don’t have the time to use other sites and prefer tumblr over deviantART due to its simplicity, but the tagging system can make it harder to navigate. Many artists on tumblr tag with high-traffic tags or use their own tags to prevent tag clogging which eventually become lost. That’s why it’s very important to reblog an artist’s work.
I’m not trying to push you to ruin your blog’s aesthetic or something, nor am I saying that “you must absolutely reblog your favourite artist’s work or you’re trash”, all I’m saying is if you truly want to support your favourite artist, instead of just liking their posts, try to reblog them once in a while. The more reblogs they receive, the more exposure/notes/followers they may receive, and it’s just one of the easiest ways to show you care about them.
*This does not mean to reblog unsourced artwork or works reuploaded to another person’s blog without permission (re:stolen). Nor does this mean to reblog artworks without the artist’s consent, even if this case is slim.
has this been done before ??
for the @tscampfireau
