In the early 2000s, there was originally going to be a reboot of Top Cat that would’ve aired on Kids WB. The series never made to pilot stage. This is what remains of this scrapped idea.

Note: These character designs originally came from a blog that was owned by a guy (I’m so sorry that I don’t remember your name) who worked on the reboot. The blog has long since been deleted.

VHS tapes weren’t even translated, and had no captions. Tapes weren’t even sold, they were traded. 

The heavyset man to the left of the bottom image is  James Kaposztas, a famous early anime fan who, come the 2000s, invented the concept of the “anime music video.”
