One of the schools I photographed had a boy on the volleyball team because there wasn't enough interest in having a boys volleyball team. They made an exclusion for him to be on the girls team.

So when I hear people saying stuff about trans athletes and phrasing it as 'boys should not play in girls sports,' im actually thinking about that kid.

No.

The boy was not in a co-ed team. He was a boy on a girl's team. The team did not become co-ed. It became a girls team dith one boy on it. This sets precedent for trans girls to join girls teams with no change.

I had been playing the witcher 3 on standard mode and had made it about a third of the way through the main story and realized that i was really only interested in the deck builder mini game. so i took the advice of a game review youtube channel i watched and tried it on hard mode and was like ohhhh this was what was missing

hey no fr. it's SO MUCH BETTER on death march. there are entire SYSTEMS of gameplay that are actually required when the difficulty is upped. i'm not just wandering the world picking up whatever junk i stumble upon, i'm actually looking for specific stuff. i'm more engaged with the environment too, i'm paying attention to which ingredients/crafting materials i need and where i've found them in the past. there's juuust enough friction to make everything click. which im told is how video games are supposed to work.

this has kind of been my experience with RPGs in general tho. which explains why my usual reaction to people joking about not using consumables in video games has been "you guys aren't using consumables???"

ok one bit of amazing digital circus finale commentary for me as a treat. but it really kills me how well the whole thing could have worked as an actual ensemble instead of turning into the jax show. like all the pieces are there. you heighten the initial conflict we see in the pilot by ragatha's (and the rest of the cast's) poorly disguised discomfort with pomni's behavior, unintentionally isolating her. pomni bonds with jax as per usual (maybe a little quicker even than in the show), their relationship reaching its nadir in the "they all get guns" episode. everything there is the same, with jax and pomni getting into a blowout argument that pushes pomni back into favor with the rest of the cast. then the rest of the show is about pomni trying and failing to resolve the conflict between jax and everyone. and in the finale, she has to make some sort decision between them, where she CHOOSES (emphasis!!!!) to let jax go and CHOOSES her own happiness and friendships with the rest of the cast over him, because she finally realizes that she can't fix him, nor is it her responsibility to.
