We should all channel our inner Squidward Tentacles from time-to-time, I say. You’re telling me. I usually have no problem being a little harsh at work when it’s called for, but there’s something about doing so to a bunch of Christmas carolers, no matter how annoying, that I just can’t manage. I’m weak in that way, I suppose. Aw, you’re far too kind and also a mastermind. But what if the parents get involved? What would I do? I feel as though things would spiral out of control rather quickly then. 

Exactly. Unfortunately, Castleport has got a whole lot of Patrick’s. Like, a majority of the male population: they’re all Patrick’s. It’s the Christmas spirit or whatever. It gets to everyone -- except me, I’m immune -- and makes you all jolly and nice and shiz. It’s like peppermint scented herpes. Once you’ve got it, you can never get rid of it. Not until New Years Eve. You pay off the parents too. If they’re good parents, they’ll accept the money.

It’s clearly broken, Sammy. That’s super corny but I’ll allow it since you’re about to blow my back out. We can finally christen my bedroom. American cars symbolize everything I detest. Especially the trucks. Don’t tell me you’re a Ford fan. Don’t let that go to your head. You’re like the third best now.  So what else can you make? Duck confit? Ossobuco? Filet Mignon? Because if so, I’m so hiring you for my next party. Are you going to attempt to make my favorite food or are you just curious? Actually, it’s super basic but I love kebabs and rice. What about you?

It’s my New Year’s resolution, I’m just starting early. How about tonight? I don’t know if that’s actually any better, but it does sound like a good way to end up with a free car. My specific face, or just in general? Figured you would’ve had Ryder there, at least. Well it was pretty simple. Roast beef, scalloped potatoes, and some veggies. My sister made a cheesecake ‘cause she’s an overachiever, but it’s pretty great. if you’re not all filled up with fancy mini quiches, I guess I could fix you a plate. 

Methinks this was your resolution last year as well. Tonight is good. Your place or mine? And a good way to end up in jail too, Sammy. The cars weren’t even that great anyway. Some were even American made. Like, gross. I mean, like you’re rad or whatever and I probably like you the second best out of everybody but ... I mean, whatever. You sound like some sort of chef right now. I think the most I’ve ever made was hot water and I managed to muck that up somehow. Cool. I’ll take one. You can have it ready for me tonight.

Is that so? I don’t know if I believe that. I totally would; I relate to Squidward on a bunch of levels myself. Plus, the poor guy could never catch a break and Spongebob and Patrick were way too much, I agree with you completely. Exactly. I had to pretend to be a good boss and listen, but it was insanely painful. Oh …  actually, that’s a great idea. I’ll file that away for next time for sure. How I’ll pull that off sneakily, however, remains to be seen.

Riding someone’s face until I break them but you can’t ask Santa for things like that so I’ll settle for a tennis bracelet from Tiffany’s. What did you ask for?

Much appreciated my dear. You should know by now, I’ll be stuck dealing with my parents doing our typical “traditional” Clarington Christmas. Nothing that I particularly want, but not anything I can avoid either. 

You and me both. Another year, another overly-done Christmas. I say, one of these years, we just ditch our fams and have a friendmas. You guys give me gifts, compliment my outfit and we enjoy some eggnog. How’d it go anyway? Did anything exciting happen?

Unless you want me to stop by?  I didn’t realize it was high on your list of priorities, but my cooking skills are pretty solid. Still figuring out the menu but I’ve got time. 

I swear, Sammy, you find a new way every day to drive me up the wall. We keep talking about ogling but not doing a lot of walking. We do need to fix that. Asap. Oh, please. They probably wouldn’t have noticed you and if they had, the most they would have done is asked if you were valet. A friendly face would have been nice is all I’m saying. So what did you figure? Hmm. I don’t know if I’d go that far just yet. Well, you have a lot more strength about you that I would if I were in your shoes. And hey, being that I’m older ( and hopefully ) wiser now, there are a lot of merits towards the Grinch’s cause I feel, so I see nothing wrong with taking after him a bit. Yes, that’s exactly what they did, actually. It was horrible. I couldn’t even run away to escape it.

My hugs are hella therapeutic, so, like, I get it.  I never really thought of it that way, but you’re right. I guess I should give Squidward a break too. I mean, Spongebob was annoying as hell, right? Squidward was trying to live his best life and here comes Squarepants messing it up. Ew. That’s super annoying. I bet it sucked even harder cause it’s not like you can run out of your own restaurant. Couldn’t you, like, accidentally spill pancake mix all over them or something?
