Fic: At Their Best When They’re Angry (Kai x Ally)

The charade with the protesters went well. Kai imagines a way it could have gone even better.

Explicit, 1.1K, contains violent sexuality with femdom and maledom elements of a dubiously consensual nature within a fantasy framework.  Kai’s POV, with the relevant grossness you’d expect from that.

Written pre-7x08. I had a request for quickie car sex and a request for sex in Ally and Ivy’s house, and it morphed into… this.

Like again, it's so weird to me when people go: "Harry Potter would have been better if X had happened" (If there had been a sympathetic Slytherin character, if Snape had lived, if Dumbledore had come out on page, if Hermione had dated Harry, etc.). It's a piece of literature… which is… an art form. It could not have come out any different than how it came out, because it is the vision of one individual who was shaped by her own individual life. It's not a collective creation. It's not craft, it's not a command, we're not aiming for utility or optimisation? Imagine if people saw Van Gogh's Sunflowers and went, "cool painting, but it would have been better if he added some red roses for contrast". Just… what a weird way to interract with a work of art.

things i will do to procrastinate when i should be practicing jazz improv

- play the heads i already know twenty times each - play literally anything on piano instead - study advanced music theory - play along to the melodies of comfort songs - dishes - laundry - call my mother - attempt to compose a blues - practice scales - more music theory - music theory related to the required improv without any actual playing - transcribe solos - make lists of things i can do to procrastinate practicing jazz improv....

thank you for connecting with me.  i hope you are here because you enjoyed my unapologetic trash fic and it made you feel things you weren’t sure you should be feeling.  that’s an awesome feeling.  feeling things you shouldn’t be feeling.

full disclosure, this used to be a blog about fandom but now it is the most random and sporadic blog about music.  somewhere along the line i realized that i could play the b minor blues on piano and a horn and elicit the same response in people IRL without the guilt and bother of enjoying (oh my!) dub con het.

i’m old, and i wanna make people feel some kinda way without all the guilt.  so music.
