how the HELL do you draw clouds????

Uhhhh honestly for me it’s whatever I feel like that day LMAO
But I do have a method to some of my madness
So for more cartoony clouds I typically sketch them out and fill them with a light color (either white or a lighter hue of the sky)
Occasionally I add multiple layers if the sky feels empty but that’s pretty rare.
Then I get the color of the sky and use an airbrush to shade the bottoms of each cloud.
For TLS frames I sometimes erase the bottom with an airbrush, which makes them look a little see-through. I like doing that when it’s only one layer of clouds due to the fact it doesn’t really look great to me with multiple layers.
After adding the bottom shading I add a small light on the edges. And maybe depending on the lighting I overlay it with the color of the light source.
For more realistic clouds I block them out with the brush Nikko Rull on Procreate, once again using a lighter color.
Afterwards I block the light and shadows, then use the smear brush to blend it.
After the lighting is blended, I blend out the rest of the clouds until I’m happy with the results!
And that’s practically it!! Uh… hope that helps a bit!!!
