“ are you worried about awards themselves or what people are going to say about you at the award shows? ” willa asked the brunette with a curious tone. “ i agree that it’s bad, but i also understand why you’re doing it. ”

“I’m not so worried about winning anything but I guess mainly what people will say and well--the awards lets the companies know that the fans like us...and we need that to survive. Not that the numbers were low, but we still need those awards to make sure the excts keep us on the air.” she said running her hand through her hair, the idea of losing her job because fans didn’t love the show was one that constantly wracked her. “But I’m also worried about the event itself. I have someone I’d like to go with, but that can’t happen so...” she trailed off sighing. “Really cause I don’t” she added a moment later with a laugh.

“A flaw?” Camila asked eyebrow raising, “I mean i guess so, it can get you hurt, but its better than seeing the negative in everyone or being hesitant to give them a chance.” she mused with a little smile. “I will, when it comes out I’ll drag Lili and the boys out to go watch it. We’ll support you.”

“That we do. But not all of us are as kind as you. I quite appreciate it. I mean--I guess if anyone was going to look through my phone I’m glad it was someone as attractive as you. You’re quite smart, we need more people like you in the world.”

“Oh shit-- I didn’t even realize, that would have been a mess if someone else found it. You truly are a gentleman for returning my phone without peeking through it all. I’ve got to many dirty pictures on there to be so careless with it.”

A smirk curled Zak’s lips, “Oh darling, I think I’m the lucky one.” He winked a bit and sipped his coffee, “The whole blind thing. I can hear, taste, touch, smell too a fault. It’s not always helpful.” He scrunched his nose, “Yeah I’ll find a better show and I’ll let you know. This is definitely over-roasted. As far as things to do… Well hell, why not just get a good feel for the city.” 

Camila’s face turned a light shade of red at the compliment and she snickered a nervous little habit she had when she was flattered. She stared at him for a moment then chuckled. “I can imagine the smelling part has gotta suck--with how much random area’s smell like piss--” she shivered. “Yuck.” She tapped her fingernails to the cup of coffee in her hand and thought. “Well, there’s the concert hall, its fantastic. I also highly recommend the farmers market. Disney and universal are always fun if you want some thrills. Go to  Bestia if you get a chance, food is to die for.”

WILLA understood what it was like to be nervous talking to a brand new therapist, but she hoped that camila would eventually come to learn that it was okay to talk to her and that she truly wouldn’t be judged in this room. “ it is common to see both, but even then each case is different. ” she promised. “ i understand. ” she told the brunette with a nod. “ just start by telling me the things that are easier. we’ll get to the harder stuff much later. ” 

Camila just nodded swallowing hard. “I guess, with it being award season and what not--my anxiety is a lot higher than normal and its making me not want to eat and--yeah. That’s just--bad.” she said the last time she was like this she didn’t eat for five days and almost fainted when she was out with Lili.

“ better late than never, right? ” the brunette asked with a shrug as she gave the other woman a smile. “ you’re not the first one to tell me that, honestly. it was a risky decision, but i fell in love with the script when i read it so i put my biases aside. ” she admitted with a shrug. “ literally all i can say is that two young people arrive in New York to spend a weekend; once they arrive they are met with bad weather and a series of adventures. ”

“Always true.” She said with a little nod. “I have a hard time putting stuff aside, I’d rather just not risk it--it helps that you have a major following behind you as is, people will watch your work and love you no matter what.” she said running a hand through her hair, she was not so lucky, she was still new to the scene and she had to be very careful with everything she did. “Sounds pretty interesting. I’ll have to check it out.”

“Indeed. And I mean I just ran out so it’s your lucky day.” Zak chuckled a bit, “The coffee is fairly solid, though I think they over-roast a tad. But, don’t take my word. I’m just overly sensitive.” He sipped and shrugged, “You know I haven’t decided that just yet. Any suggestions?” 

“It really is! I get to sit and flirt with a cute guy and hear about his fun explorations. What more could I ask for?” She said with chuckle. “Overly sensitive eh? I mean--if you say it’s over roasted I’m gonna believe you. I pretty much only drink this to wake the hell up before work.” Camila teased. “Hummm well, what sort of stuff are you looking to do? Do you want to try good food? Or do you want to get a feel for the city?”

“I bet you’re amazing with girls if you’re this much of a charmer. I do a combination of both. He hasn’t figured out that I’m laughing at him instead of with him yet though so his spirits are still high. It depends on the day honestly. If people are annoying her more than usual, then she is at a higher risk of losing it. How are you liking your show? You’re pretty amazing on it. You play my favorite character actually.” 

“Girls? Oh I --I’ve never dated a girl. Just dudes. But hey I’m always down for flirting. That’s so mean--I mean, hilarious but a bit mean. But I hope your boss keeps her cool more often than not, I’d hate to see her go off on you and you have a frazzled day--though I’m guessing that means I’d have a better chance of seeing you in here, which would be nice. Oh god, I fuckin love it, its so much fun, my coworkers are amazing, everyone is so talented I feel like a bit of an imposter on set half the time,  but thank you--I really appreciate that. Veronica is a weird little nugget but I love her.”

“ Nah, there’s no twisted fantasy or fantasy in general. I just wanna get better at actually taking pictures so I can make my instagram better and my ability better yanno?” she said with a little shrug. “It’ll all be pg, just simple things to start. I gotta start somewhere and candids are a good place to start--then maybe some actual posed shit.”

“ your mom is a smart woman. ” willa told camila with a nod. she watched as the brunette took a seat and she just smiled. when the other struggled to find the words, willa frowned. “ it’s alright, camila – this is a safe place, i promise. ” she told her, hoping it would ease the conversation. hearing her last question, willa nodded. “ i am. i’ve treated my fair share of patients with eating disorders in the past, and i happen to have two moms myself so lgbt+ things are my specialty. ”

“She really is, smartest woman I know.” Camila said with a large grin. Hearing Willa talk made her nod and lick her lips, it wasn’t that she doubted this was a safe place, its just that Willa was new--and there were only two people she had ever told some of the things she knew she’d inevitably end up talking to willa about. “That’s good--I mean--I know in LA it’s probably common to see both. I just--” she shrugged “it’s weird yanno? Trying to start over with someone new, someone who doesn’t know everything.”
