heyy, I finally made a hockey sideblog so I stop spamming my main and annoying my non-fan mutuals<3

I’ve been watching/playing hockey all my life but only got super into it in the last year or so. No home team but my allegiance mostly lies with Montréal and everything else is purely vibes based

I also love San Jose bc of my friend who lives there #myfriend #yay

every year small towns and indigenous communities across canada are burnt to nothing by horrific wildfires and americans go on the internet to complain about it and blame us bc the smoke has spread to their state. i’m so tired.

go yell at mark carney or your own local politicians about climate change and urge them to do more to stop it. the namaygoosisagagun first nation had their community destroyed today. you can find a link to donate to them here. donate to your local food bank. go to the beach next week when the smoke clears and you don’t have to think about it anymore while the people who’s lives have been destroyed will have to pick up the pieces and try to move forward when we are already in a huge cost of living crisis across the country.

If I was in charge of the nhl my first priority would be fixing the rampant abuse and horrible labor practices but my second priority would be making the players post on Instagram regularly during the offseason so I could see my special lil guys and my third priority would be a game day dress code that banned sleeves so we could see their biceps

If anything catastrophic happens with the Walter group (which it WON'T) PWHL gets taken over as a Canada crown corp and every province and territory gets a team and a brand new arena and the Walter cup never leaves canada and also all nhl players are taxed half of their salaries which are redistributed amongst pwhl players and also the teams get mascots designed by meomi design (who designed the 2010 vancouver olympics mascots) and that is my pitch thank you for your consideration

annoyed rn bc back when expansion was happening I saw some people say the reason Halifax won’t get a team is that we don’t have a good enough arena but the Scotiabank Centre is bigger than several of the other PWHL arenas including Place Bell. so what am I missing here
